I have been trying to draw a line from a point tangent to the side of an arc and am not able to do this. I know there is a button on the menu for this, but it does not seem to be working. I would also like to draw a circle tangent to three sides of a square or rectangle. Im not able to do this either.
Help please.

After 30 years, I'm thinking of doing something totally different. Not sure what. Unfortunatally without a degree its hard to start something new at 51.
And btw...if you can't square a block on a milling machine, get out of the business...NOW

I think most people stay put cause they wan't take a huge pay cut. But I'm now thinking about it.
We currently have MC Mr1 level 2. We dont have access to Solidworks files. Do we have to buy level 3 to get solidowrks, or can we just buy an update to get solidworks?
How big is the file you are sending? It may be too large for the machine. You need to set the parameters on the MC software and the Haas the same.
Mine are set like this:
Format - ASCI
Port - Com1
Parity - Even
Data bits - 7
Stop bits - 1
Baud rate - set the highest number that will match the Haas
The higher the bit rate, the faster the file is sent.
And set the parameters in the Haas to match.

I would be dating myself too. I liked most of the Sierra Games of the early 90's. Most of the "Quest" games, then got turned on to "Larry".
There just aren't any games like that now, that I know of.

No offense meant by that remark. I'm just not a big fan of "The Cable Guy" or Rodney Carrington.
Not my brand of humor.
I see there is a definite opinion for control comp or wear comp. But...
How is wear comp better?
I have always been a control comp guy, buy am willing to change if there is an advantage to wear comp.
But it breaks down to 13.3333 and the haas will not accept 4 places in the A axis.
I know its a miniscule amount, but we just wondered if it could be done.
