  1. I have been trying to draw a line from a point tangent to the side of an arc and am not able to do this. I know there is a button on the menu for this, but it does not seem to be working. I would also like to draw a circle tangent to three sides of a square or rectangle. Im not able to do this either. Help please.
  2. Spade Very well put... "The bible is the best selling fiction book of all time" I could not have said it any better myself.
  3. Since I don't know what firefox is, I probably don't have it. But thanks anyway
  4. Nick That video clip you have is a BIT more irritating that the yelling... Can you tone it down?
  5. AFIT I envy your job. I bet you NEVER get bored.
  6. ____________________________________ Should have been a plumber... ____________________________________ After 30 years, I'm thinking of doing something totally different. Not sure what. Unfortunatally without a degree its hard to start something new at 51. And btw...if you can't square a block on a milling machine, get out of the business...NOW jmparis "Most people decide to stay put because it is the path of least resistance." I think most people stay put cause they wan't take a huge pay cut. But I'm now thinking about it.
  7. We can bring in sld files, but cant toolpath them. I will check into this. Thanks
  8. We currently have MC Mr1 level 2. We dont have access to Solidworks files. Do we have to buy level 3 to get solidowrks, or can we just buy an update to get solidworks?
  9. Even with bifocals I still have a problem when the resolution is too small
  10. jmparis its under tool_info in the general settings
  11. Also if you put a "#" in front of the line you dont want in the post, it will not read it.You dont actually have to take out the line.
  12. How big is the file you are sending? It may be too large for the machine. You need to set the parameters on the MC software and the Haas the same. Mine are set like this: Format - ASCI Port - Com1 Parity - Even Data bits - 7 Stop bits - 1 Baud rate - set the highest number that will match the Haas The higher the bit rate, the faster the file is sent. And set the parameters in the Haas to match.
  13. jmparis unfortunatly for me its a power point file. I can't open it.
  14. I hate to be the last to know, but how does WCS work? I use xform translate all the time.
  15. 3th String Thanks for that thread. I will stick with control comp. Jeff
  16. quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Minimills are gutless. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'd like to add worthless to that statement.
  17. Bernie T I would be dating myself too. I liked most of the Sierra Games of the early 90's. Most of the "Quest" games, then got turned on to "Larry". There just aren't any games like that now, that I know of. GIT-R-DONE No offense meant by that remark. I'm just not a big fan of "The Cable Guy" or Rodney Carrington. Not my brand of humor.
  18. I see there is a definite opinion for control comp or wear comp. But... How is wear comp better? I have always been a control comp guy, buy am willing to change if there is an advantage to wear comp.
  19. John Thanks. I will try that tomorrow. Jeff
  20. Bernie T Any other interactive games like Larry that you like?
  21. But it breaks down to 13.3333 and the haas will not accept 4 places in the A axis. I know its a miniscule amount, but we just wondered if it could be done.
