  1. How much memory does the computer have?
  2. go to control panel, display, settings tab, advanced tab, adapter, properties there you can see what driver you are running. download the latest driver, install and see if that works better, if not you can actually try earlier versions if needed.
  3. "dont know if there are any fixes for the ati " Have you tried different drivers? http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html
  4. "Go buy a new video card. Mastercam and ATI do not work well together. I would take a $50 Nvidia card over an expensive ATI card any day." I have been running ATI firegl cards with mastercam for 6-7 years on several different computers and never had a problem.
  5. "Makes you feel good to pay maint. and get **** worse than you had before." I have been using mc since 5.5, and it seams to me as well that more of the bugs were fixed and faster before the "maintenance" program started.
  6. "I am not "Thad", but can't imagine not having one" +1, even if it is non magnetic, if i can lightly clamp it to the side i will before using a standard spinning edgefinder.
  7. for magnetic steel, i use spi magnetic edge finder. you just put against side and use you indicator to center between two walls, real accurate.
  8. In steel instead of wood, but it's my art project. (mastercam level 3, don't have art)
  9. "stick with NVIDIA video cards" I hear this statement all the time, but I have been running on ATI fire gl-s (3 different computers) and never had a problem. what problem usually happen?
  10. never had luck with ftp sites, If interested I can email.
  11. Are you using a mpmaster post? there is a thread about how to fix coolant values in the post.
  12. "Tyco recently split into 3 different companies" I knew they went under some changes recently, just using as reference to how well tyco treated its employees. I started my own shop 2 years ago, so I hopefully will never need to work for anybody else, other than my shop. If I was still working for others, I would apply for the opening, sounds interesting/good fit. I used to live in Coral Springs, so I know Boca Raton is a nice city. Good luck.
  13. The same could be said for incoherent cats.
  14. "Camgen....ease up on the negatives please, especailly since you haven't inquired about anything yourself." wasn't trying to scare off any potential employees, just giving honest assessments to rob and hardmill who are not looking right now. If you want a positive assessment, the tyco healthcare up in deland (fl) who I assume is same parent company, is know around town as one of the better places to be an employee. As far as me inquiring, it is my most sincere desire to never work for another company directly again.
  15. "Somewhere between St. Augustine & Cocoa Beach would be just fine by me" Not as crowed (i live around Daytona myself) as south Florida, but the pay scale will shock you, so bring money with you. "It would be much easier if everyone would just go back home." As a native Floridian I can relate.
