So I get thrown into the fire for these inconel parts. the shop has no insert cutters. Using coated 5 flute roughers and finishing with 1/2 in 5 fl.
They got me running this rougher at 220 rpm and 2 inches a minute. .1 depth of cut. OMG . Then had to drill 8 .099 holes.
with screwed up drills. Finally found a carbide and ran it at 1500 rpm and feed 1.5. did good for remaining holes. If any of you steel guys got any tips Im all ears. Here you have a shop who had promised this job the 18th. Its late and I am just starting it. 22 parts.
If they had the right insert cutters I could have eliminated 1 operation and the machine time would be way less.
Its all good. Np problem. Boss said aint the first guy.
They have files saved on network. You should never store programs on a haas mini mill.
you store your files/pgms proved out on a computer and network.
I think they tweaked the pgms and never sent back to resave them.
We always only had one finished program. Not 3 or 4 on all the machines.
It causes way to many problems. I had to debug 2 more programs that came into the mini mill after it was empty.
Owner says no ground wire on mill causing sending probs... oh boy......
hey guys,
New place stored allot of pgms on a mimi mill. they have back up. Memeory was full. All week long have to delete program top load one. Well this morning. I deleted allright all 499 on the mini mill by accident. Must have hil delete all.. Anyone know if haas can recover them. They do have back up of files. The machine was loading prgms with errors all week. Only 8 percernt free on memory.. Any help would be appreciated.
Called haas could be 1 week before I can get it fixed. Tech support says maybe chip caught in
y axis switch. He said if i can blow it out with air it may work. Anyone know where the y switch is?
Looks like I have to take 1 cover off. Damn

I went to verify and inside there clicked on mcx file saved on desktop has stock file.
clicked the green check mark and mastercam has been crashing every time.
Can anyone of u hot shots give me the quick rundown on making the stock look like your part. i don't have time to read
and mess around. Plus I am mentally impaired ;o) I know I should know this after 100 years . But I never really thought about using it
in verify.
You know
1. do this - file or solid
2 do this
3 do this
4. ???
Thanks
I set the surfaces to the same color. the tool keeps jumping up at the created surface area.
It surface machines it but after the fact. I want a smooth surface machining. Using scallop
I guess I could use a containment boundary and see it that works.
when selecting tools I noticed all my saved tools r gone. I did find what i think might be them
in the tools folder. just gotta know how to point to the Saved tools when I press select tool.
Is this done in config area.
thanks
