I'm thinking this beat up old robo drill is gonna scoff at it, no matter what i give, lol.  Thanks for the help!

In flowline if you use One Way you will get arcs if your filter is set for it. If you use Spiral you won't get arcs.

Dude. When you bash the people that are just having problems with the software

That's not what happens, people that are just having problems with the software get help.

People like you who decide to go off and rage about an issue and proclaim that you're better than the developers get no help.

    See the difference?

Just look at your very own thread and replies.

This is why people here think you're a doosh

  3. I've never touched this material before and have a few pcs to machine on my Genos. I've been cutting 4150pht,4142pht,A2,1060 etc.. my entire life so how does P20 compare?

Is it abrasive? Does it work harden?  Run it like A2?

    Any input appreciated, thanks.

How about here in North America we declare imperial standard obsolete, and we stop using it, because the majority of people on this planet use a better and more simple system called metric.

What does it matter when it's all in the form of a decimal number anyway.     :sofa:

    IMPERIAL RULES!   Metric drools!

first time creating a metric thread with a multi flute thread mill, help...

should I put in english dimensions for the cutter?

should I put english numbers in the  cut parameters?

    am I overthinking this?

    Yes you are overthinking.

Just convert everything to a 3 or 4 place decimal and you'll be fine.

  6. How large are the assembly files that you have open? This could have a serious impact on performance.

Also as said above, how much RAM, and is it fast RAM?

I would get the best Quadro card that they will buy. P4000 would be the minimum, I have one and even that won't handle large assemblies all too well when rotating the screen.

Yes.. I ruined a very nice laptop that way.

Coolant came on unexpectantly and was hitting me in the chest.

I stepped out of the way, shut the coolant off and turned to see my laptop.

The keys were little islands in a lake of coolant.

I pulled the power, shut it down, drained it and let it dry for a week.

It ran for a couple of days, long enough to back it up, but then it made a little pop

and let all the smoke out... and that was the end of that

At my old shop we had a newbie operator on our mill. And at the end of the shift we would use a small garden style hose attached to the coolant to hose down the inside of the machine.

Well he was doing this and it came off the connection and started shooting coolant all over the place. He panicked and used his body as a shield so it wouldn't go onto the floor until someone ran over and hit the Coolant Off button lol.

One of the funniest things I've ever seen in a shop.
