  1. are you changing from 5axis machining to simple 3d machining?...i have the same problem with V9 here ..when i change from 3d surface backplot to 5 axis machine i get errors...i actually have to shut MC down and come back in again just to verify or backplot one or the other...but i cant verify both as they come back whith errors on it and i have to hit the hold the escape key down just to get through it...by the way how is the weather ...miss brisbane by the way
  2. i use a 5 axis curve and lock the 4th axis when going all the way around a part...the unroll doesnt work too well when going all the way around on the okuma ...had the same problem with my okuma here
  3. jesus im spoiled rotten ....most i think i had was 100 or so on an okuma horizontal with 20 hydraulic manifolds parts on each face of a 4 sided tombstone and that took like 2 days to program..setup and prove out...but once done she was a sweet one.
  4. 40 min...try 3 hours for a 5 axis multi...lol step across .005 and step along at .01...anything less and i dont have enough ram...with a gig and 3.0 chip
  5. I have run into a bug that seems to be rather annoying im M9-MR05...sadly the depth of cuts does not work ...nor is it registering the check stock on the outside of the the surfaces i want to avoid and its is cutting my grinding stock even when i put in extra stock in the check icon....gentleman from inhouse came named Allen Brown(great guy by the way) and discovered i had a bug and the only way to resolve this was to use the MX... (that i havent been trained on yet) or offset the check surfaces in M9 so that the check stock is about .100 inch just so i can run the part in the 4th axis...im looking for any other suggestions in this matter that might be helpful and another method of cutting a particular part because it is outright painful trying to copy and pastethe same program over10times when you have .55 to go and my depth of cuts are .05 just to rough and i cant achieve any kind of surface finish at all unless i index the part and come in on different vectors ...which seems a real shame for a 4 axis machine that is capable of more than just indexing
