BOTH TOOLS ARE SAVED IN THERE OWN LIBRARY. IS IT SOMETHING IN VERIFY OPTIONS I'M MISSING? BIT FRUSTRATING, ANYTHING WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL THANKS, FAS
  4. Yep, they are backwards. Is that also a quick change in the post? Thanks, FAS
  5. Need to switch from X+ to X- on the lathe. Can this be done through the Machine or Control definition, or is it a post deal? Looked and searched but am missing it. Thanks, FAS
  6. X5, with a basic conical cavity. Using the Opti-rough path with a step down of .04 the tool will only go approx. half of full depth. Increasing the step down to .100 and it goes full depth but this is way too heavy of a cut. Have adjusted all helix values pertaining to this particular path with no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Dino

    Color change

That works until I open a file, then back to black? Opening different files it just defaults to the system color.
  8. Is it possible to change the main origin indicator to something other than black. Running the black background makes it disappear. Just want it multi-colored like the viewport, tool, and construction ones.
  9. The backplot advance bar is visible but shaded out, is this due to lack of RAM? Working for simple 2D but not for surfaces. Have tried increasing allocation but to no avail. Only have about 400meg. Simple upgrade? Thanks, FAS
  10. I've noticed that size of merge file has somtimes had something to do with it. Merging large into small sometimes triggers it. Another work around is to create a dummy solid enveloping your original then merging the dummy in. M2C, FAS
  11. Late entry....F4 (Properties) manipulate away. FAS
  12. If permissible leave .0002 on drive surfaces and it should recognize and cut the vertical surface. Hardmill turned me on to that one. FAS
  13. Don't use a plug and see if you get the same results. Chuck on a plug and trepan a face groove on the front of the jaws, use a ring in the face groove to then chuck on and bore the diameter thru. Just a thought.

    Haas Vm3

That is correct, it isn't a market they (we) go after. Simple reason: It's too small.
  15. Worked at the above mentioned AMT for five years. Ran the lathe department, 25 lathes. They make a fairly unique product. Rotary forged, and AutoSpin. Spinning the rims as opposed to forging them changes the structure of the aluminum for added strength. Buy blanks, headsaches gone.
  16. Go it, thanks for the help. Much appreciated. FAS
  17. Yes, with and without. To be more exact, I'm trying to import Rough/Finish Surface Parallel toolpaths into simple Rough/Finish 2D toolpaths. Is this a no-no. HTH
  18. Did a search and didn't get what I was having a problem with. I'll show my ignorance and describe what I'm not able to do. Trying to import two operations from one file to another. Export is fine with both ops., they show data (265K) on the toolpath line. When I go to import them they are showing 0.0K on the toolpath line. Won't regenerate either because, "there are 0 toolpath entities remaining". Am I missing a critical step here? Thanks for the help in advance.
  19. Killed the containment boundary and all is well. Thanks for the quick help. FAS
  20. That's what I'm look for. I'll lose the fillets.
  21. Looking for help getting the path(s) I want for a simple pocket. It's an open faced pocket with the back wall having a 10 degree taper from floor to top. Side walls are perp to the floor with .125 fillet rads, using a .25 ball to finish. After roughing out the center mt'l I would like to waterline the sidewalls and the back wall from top to bottom. Problem I'm having is all paths I've tried won't cut the sidewalls, just the back tapered wall. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
  22. Thanks for the quick response(s). Much appreciated.
  23. Need some help on how to change a group of entities to the same color. Am doing it now one at a time with the properties box, there has to be an easier way. In V9 it was quite simple. Thanks, D
  24. Excellent, thanks for the quick Colin. D
