  1. Read about it on my reseller website http://www.fastechinc.net/index.html http://www.robotmaster.com/index.php
  2. Is this another one of the things the CNC is wasting its time with instead of making the current products better ????????????
  3. Tried that, still the same output. Thanks for the help, I'm going to send it to my reseller, to have them check it out, because I must be missing some thing.
  4. Ref. Return [0=G28,1=G30] G30 U0. V0. W0. M05 When I changed that it just output a G30 instead of the G28? Also tried changing the post and still the same output pmiscint$ #Capture the top level absinc for subprograms if sub_level$ <= zero, absinc$ = mi2$ ref_ret = mi3$ #home_type = mi1$
  5. # mi1 - Work coordinate system: (home_type) # -1 = Reference return / Tool offset positioning. # 0 = G50 with the X and Z home positions. # 1 = X and Z home positions. # 2 = WCS of G54, G55.... based on Mastercam settings. home_type : 1 #Flag for type of home location, read from misc. int. Put the 1 in for home type and still got the same output? G28 U0. V0. W0. M05
  6. I dont want it hard coded, that could be bad> I want it to come from my Home position I set in each operation. I guess another question is, one the Fanuc controller, is there a way to set where it goes home at with the "G28 U0. V0. W0. M05". Familar with the Fanuc control on a mill but not on a lathe.
  7. Using the MPLFAN post that came with MasteCam. Is there a way for this post to output the home position as my User Defined Home Position instead of the "G28 U0. V0. W0. M05" that I am getting now? I want G0 X15 Z7 M05. Running X2 MR2 SP1. Thanks Mike
  8. I cleaed out the file and changed the setting. My vidio driver is the newest, stupid Dell does not even put a vidio drive on a machine that is capible of using 2 monitors in the dule view mode. The originl one only supported the same view on both screens.
  9. Mine was set to let window decide, I chnged it to be proformance. I'll see how that works. Had 3 crashes in the 2 hours so I should know within an hour or so if that helped
  10. XP is what I am running. I have my Auto save set also, so I can't loose too much work.
  11. Recently updated to the newest version of MasterCam and got a new computer this week. I have been have problem with MasterCam locking up. I was doing surface milling the other day and it was doing it ever now and then, now today when I am doing simple lathe parts it is still doing it. Does any one know of any setting that I should changes from the "out of the box setting" that I stil have them at?
  12. I went with the Quadro 1700 on my new PC. Was having the same problem you are having. I ended up getting a whole new system since the motherboard was not compatiable with PCI Express card. Cant tell you how it work cuz IT does not have it configed yet.
  13. When I used the safty zone it used that zone for the retract for every tool
  14. That would work but the Horizonal Dept supervior is not going to go for having them extra tool change lines in the program. I am trying to get the post work as closely as the way he programs on the floor, kinda a pain.
  15. Guess I should of said what kind of machines we are running also. OKUMA HMC's
  16. Wanted to check with others on how they do a retract before the B axis moves if the same tool is going to a different axis. At the last shop I worked at we used a subprogram that that bought tool or the pallet, depending on machine, all the back. A simple M98 P30 did this along with canceling some other thing. At my present job was told to give it a Z25 value before the Z moves. I could make a reference point of Z25 at the end of all OP's that are going to changes axis, but I was thinking that a post change would be better that way I can never forget to retract the tool. Any thoughts?
  17. I'm only thru the first 3 pages and that tutorial already helped out quite a bit. Wish I could of had that about 2 yrs ago. Does Master Cam have any other Tutorial like this that I dont know about? Sure would be some good reading material at home in the bathroom.
  18. The .mmd and .control files are in c:mcamx2-mr2cnc_machines directory The .pst files are in the c:mcamx2-mr2millposts directory. Copy them to an external device and move then to the other computers
  19. I usualy right click in the toolpath parameter window and click on "save parameters to default file", after I have it setup like I want it
  20. John, This was in the next entry, now it works FWIW, I was able to use Notepad on X2 by renaming 2VScene.ft and HoleAxis.ft to 2VScene.ft.bak and HoleAxis.ft.bak to supress the errors at startup.
  21. Thanks John Guess I will have to try it out after I upgrade later on this week
  22. Does this this only work for X2 MR2? I am running X2 and I got an error message when I opened up Mastercam, after installing it.
  23. Well I guees that gives me reasonto upgrade from X2, to X2 MR2 SP1. Might as well wait till next week when my new computer come in.
  24. Thanks for the help, I used Shawn's method and it seem to be working well
