  1. REGO-FIX We had a demo from Rego-Fix a few months back on there PowRgrip system. Seemed like a good system. I know they will put one of your tools in a holder and let you try it out on the machine.
  2. We are in the process of buying a new computer for him so in a couple weeks the poblem will be fixed. Has alot changed from X2 to X4 in the graphics, because I was using that computer in X2 to do simple lathe work and the verify worked back then?
  3. On the new guys computer he is having problems with the solid verify. We had the problem in mill yesterday and now is having it in lathe. We turned the Open GL off in the system configurations on his computer. His computer just has an inagraded card, so I thougth that might work. I tired it on my computer and it works, but I also have a nvidia graphic card. Is there some other setting that we need to set for him computer. Thanks

  5. I have thought of that, but that would lead to a lot more operations in the Operations Manager.
  6. I have a countour finish toolpath that has 3 countours in it. When I post it out the shop forman wold like the G0 G90G54X?Y?S?M3 & G43H?Z? line to post out for every chain. Is it possible to do this in Mastercam? Thanks This is how I currently post the OP G0G90G54X3.7205Y-.637S1500M3******* G43H11Z.1******** M8 G1Z-.247F5. G41D11Y-.262F10. 8. That what me and Pete figured out, when he placed the two files in a folder then when to open it up in Pro-E all the configerations of the parts show up. Thanks everyone
  9. No because it is some type of internet bidding and we dont know who the cusomer is.
  10. Does anyone have PRO-E's Product View on there computer and could open up the IDX file and send me a screen shot of what it shows?
  11. I dont have Pro-E, so I dont have a dealer
  12. Have a question about a Pro-E file we were sent by a customer. The frist one was a .prt file, this one opened as a solid model in Solid Works. The second one that was attached was an .IDX file. Anyone know what is actually in that file? Below is Pro-E tell me. Is Product View the only this that will open it? What is ProSTEP iViP? .IDX? The ProSTEP iViP Association is an industry consortium which focuses on the creation and usage of open standards for data exchange. This organization’s ECAD/MCAD collaboration project group recently approved the “EDMDSchema,” a standard means to communicate incremental design changes across mechanical and electrical domains. The schema conveys this information via an “.idx” file format; IDX denoting “InterDomain Exchange.” PTC was instrumental in development of this standard, working with the ProSTEP committee members, including Mentor Graphics. PTC is the first vendor of Mechanical CAD solutions to support this standard.
  13. The books says the chip to chip time for the B300 is around 6 seconds, does that sound right?
  14. Wel the decision is going to be made this afternoon between the Tsugami TMA8 or a Okuma Multus B300. I know there are a lot of people on here that have a Multus machine. All of you pros and cons of the machine are appericated. -Any options that are nessary or options you wish you would of got? -How many tools does yours hold? -Accuracy of machine? what tolerance do you hold consistancy? -If the head is crashed, what does it take to realign -Kennametal KM 40 vs Sandvil Capto tool holders -Lns Sprint 565 VS FMB Turbo 5/65 barfeeder -Does anyone use the collision Avoidance system? is it user friendly? Thanks
  15. Could anyone send me a sample mill turn program that would show me some examples of how some of the milling is done on a mill turn. We took a look at a couple TMA8's in Warsaw IN. yesterday. They looked like a solid machine. When programing a mill/turn to you usually use the C-Axis milling features or the regualar machine toolpaths? Is there any good online training for Mill/Turns Thanks
  16. Anyone have any experience with a TMA8 mill turn form Tsugami. We are in the process of looking at one of these. The setup is similar to the setup of a Okuma Multus B300. I am trying to decide whether to program it with MasterCam or look at using our Partmaker software. This would be our first full mill turn. I have been doing 2 axis lathe and 3 axis mill program, so how much of a learning curve do you think there will be? Any suggestions. TSUGAMI TMA8 Thanks
  17. I guess there is no easy fix like i thouhgt there should be. Guess I might try the custom tool when I get a chance. Thanks
  18. Is the a way to set a thread tool so that Master Cam uses Z0 for the left edge of the insert instead of the center of the V? Thanks
  19. Well I final found the probem, looks like my chaining tolerance and Minimum arc length tolerance were set to high. They were at .02" on each. John, would this be why it came out all right on your seceen and not mine? Second question, what would be the recomended values for the tolerances under the system config? I do mostly 2 axis lathe work and 3 axis mill programing. I have now .001 chaining .014 planar .005 arc length .1194 min step size 500 max step size .005 chordal diviation .005 max surface devation .005 toolpath tolerance Thanks I FINALLY MADE IT....200 POSTS
  20. Thanks John, but i am still having the problem. This is strange, after I regenerate the file it forgets about the corner and does not put the radius in. Below I posted the program befroe and after I regenerated it. THe shoulder is at Z-1.2015, FYI. ONE MORE IN TILL THE BIG 200.............. 21. No, I not using them to shorten the countour, just to extend them .05". I tuned the lead in/out off and it still did it
  22. yes the radius is part of the chain
  23. I am programing a part that has a shoulder on it, that has a .025 radius in the corner. When my finish pass comes to the corner it does not follow the R.025 with the 1/64 radius tool I am using. Anyone have any ideas why the tool path is going up to the shoulder and forgeting about the radius. Thanks
  24. When I use the face toolpath, it faces to what I tell it under the "Use Stock" button. I put it at .05" for the first side, then 0 for the second.
