  1. I have a customer request to cut 1-1/2" double start acme nut. I haven't done this before. Looking to do this on CNC lathe Any suggestion on programming.
  2. Destiny Viper geometry for aluminum, plus high helix design, plus their coating works good. A friend just finished a big job, started with MA Ford, but switched back to Destiny. He could run faster and get a lot bey year finish. Side cuts will look polished.
  3. I've had very good luck with " Destiny Mill ". The Viper three flute line works great. It leaves a polished finished. They also work great on Teflon, Ryton, Rulon bad Delran too.
  4. I'm trying to get GUI working in X5 any suggestions.
  5. I did the bench test. regen in 37.4 sec. verify in turbo mode 27.8 sec. igs 2.6 sec. STP 3.6 sec. The new pc is working out great for me. So for I highly reconmend the SSD HD.
  6. Not yet, I need a little more time to get every thing setup. I did pricing with Dell, but my pc was quit a bit cheaper. So for I'm very happy with it. By I'll try a bench test next week, and let you know the results. I purchase most of the hardware from Micro Center in Houston.
  7. Hi Mike I just assembled a new pc. My old system was a Dell pen. 4 with 1.5 Meg of memmory, with windows XP pro. It was getting very slow. It took over 125 seconds to open Mastercam. My new pc: cool master case Intel core i7 2.8 6 megs of ram 1600Mhz Intel 160 gig SSD boot drive 500 WD 2nd drive Nvidia quradro FX3800 video card. Windows 7 ultima 64 bit this was finish yesterday, so I have some more tuning left. The time to open Mastercam on old pc was over 125 seconds. On the new pc less than 3 seconds.
  8. I found it. Thanks for the leed. I was the post file. I found out every thing had to go the MR2 location. Thanks again for the information.
  9. I tried for over an hour today and couldn't creat a crash. I talked to the main dealer and he's had no one with the same problem, but want's print screan when it happens again.
  10. In 2D contour I had been programing on and off thursday day, things worked fine. The file had been created in MR2 a few days ago. Then I was going back to fine tune tool paths. I would click on parameters and get a worning and crach. ^*^%*% I just did some editing on the same file, a dozen time, every thing seems OK. This happend with the 1st file created in MR2. Dealer subjested earler in the week, to not have more than 2 version on pc. So I uninstall older version and left MR1 SP1. Dealer needs some tuning, on fridays 1pm call for support, 96 hours later and no call back with a fix. Thanks for you support.
  11. Try www.streamingteacher.com it really helped me
  12. I have a 98 MX45VAE Okuma. I run a 1/2" Destiny Vipet ball mill at 7000rpm- 92imp, tolarance .0005 witch gives a very nice polished finish. Destiny end mills also leave a polish finish. I wonder how well do your machine maintane that feed rate, because Okuma rates my machine, at 60ipm at .0002 tolarance. I've watched my feeds drop way off in tiet areas.
  13. I'm having trouble while editing a tool paths, Mastercam crashes. I finaly had to go back to SP1 to finish a my jobs. Has any one else had this problem
