Thanks Ron,
I have the probing routines(on a HAAS), but I do not see one for multiple holes on a PCD. Macro # O9819 is ok to get the Center of a PCD, but it's no use for finding multiple individual hole locations.
Hi Eric,-Thanks for the help.
I need to find the location.Basically speaking we machine the worn bushings out,so I need to find the location of each one, and have a different offset( G54 Etc) for each hole, What I would like to do is manualy probe the first and then automatically find the locations of the remaining holes.
I have a boss with 9 bushings on a PCD(that varies within a few thou)and I need to probe each individual hole. I have no problem probing the first hole, but how do I setup a macro to probe the remaining holes. It would be way to long to manually probe each hole. The machine is a HAAS with renishaw probing.
Thanks.
They are different vices. I am not sure I agree with you regarding backplot or verify. These are very expensive parts we are re-working. I allways(when I can)verify my programs-what would happen if I picked the wrong origin etc.
Thank"s John, what I did was copy my original toolpaths and then set my WCS to the second vice.
Are you saying I should use Xform instead if I want to see it in Verify?
I two vices on my machine G54 and G55. I copied my original toolpath (G54)Then went into view manager and copied the top view and set my work offset to 1 and changed the tool plane. But the toolpath is still backplotting in my original G54-first vice. I have looked at the tutorials and I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.
I was wondering if anyone if running X2 with Vista. Our IT guy is having major problems trying to install Service Pack 1 and is considering going back to XP.
