We are doing something similar. We use a DNC program to pull the G-code file from our server to a PC. From there we have an FTP service setup and pull the file into the controller using a crossover cable. We have this set up on roughly 20 routers, but on a couple when trying to ping the PC from the controller we get an error. Ping service error [224]. I called Fanuc for support, but nothing they suggested cleared the error. Any ideas?

Thanks Doug. The ones we have are not 5 axis. Can you tell me if you program yours with standard G-code or do you use another style of programming code?

We recently purchased four used SCM Ergon routers. We didn't get any programming information with them. I'm looking for any information I can get to help us learn how to program them. If you can be of any help, please reply.

Do you get the same quality of cut if you raise the cutter up and only cut 1/8" deep into the board?

Ployd, Not sure if you have figured this out yet or not but... Could your workpiece be sliding around a little? I have seen this type of problem where the board moves slightly during cutting.
