I do a bit of woodworking. I build guitars.
Here is a photo album of two I built at San Diego City College on their Fadals.

Don't feel bad. My nickname in school was "Crash"
The best one I did was writing a program by hand and forgetting to turn the spindle on. I pushed a 3/8 drill right through a 1" block of aluminum.
It was after that incident I figured out that a good slide hold technique beat the prayer method every time.
I am sure this has been covered before, but here goes again!
I am looking to put a new system together. Whats the ultimate system for Mcam?
I am curious what direction to go in regards to the processor and video card.
Thanks in advance!
WTP that looks great thanks!
Crazy Ron, I think I'll try that out and see if I can pull it off. Sounds like fun. Thats a way I never thought of Thanks!
Winnie,
The bottom of the pocket finish is not a concern. I am just trying to get a pocket on a radiused surface that has a radiused bottom. I thought I would try it as projecting a pocket onto a surface instead of projecting a toolpath onto a cylinder.
The depth is fine, I think what I will do is a contour toolpath on the geometry to get the perimiter of the pocket and the use finish project to rough it out.
Thanks so much for the help and responce!

Still doing it. When I loaded it up it flashed a quick message about fixing it. I had to regen.
Here are the "not square" corners.

Hello everyone,
I am having a heck of a time projecting a pocket onto a simple radiused surface.
I am unable to get square corners and also unable to get my depth of cut set properly. I have tried everything I can think of and can not seem to get the depth right.
I uploaeded the file. it is called : PROJECTPKT.MC9
I also included the STL file for verification. Itis called : PROJECTPKTSTL
Thanks in advance!
Thanks!
Check out the guitar I made at San Diego City College. I won 2nd place Mcams wildest part last year with this project.
