  5. Ok so this is what I'm trying to do, I have a large block that has milled shapes on one side, then in the center of each shape I have a hole in which I want to pick up center on wire, then move to my starting burn hole location and cut this part out. I want to write a program where I can pick up my first hole in the part manually, then the wire will move to x... Y... And cut out my part. After this part is complete and I take it out, I would like the program to move to the next refrence hole and pick up center, then move to the x...y... Value and cut out this part also. I have a lot of parts in these blocks, I just don't want to have to manually pick up each reference hole on each part and start program over. So how can I add in the program to pick up center of a hole automatically then move to x...y...?
  6. ok,will try thanks for the help guys.

  11. Mastercam U is a pretty nice tool for learning, It covers quite a bit of the basics and tool paths in the level one. The advanced mastercam U covers alot of the high speed, and 3d milling apps.
  12. FBM drill worked good to show me my vector lines in diff angled holes, but FBM mill is a waste of time in my opinion.

  16. I am currently making some 6061 aluminum parts, I have a hole that is .625 dia. and it requires a 32 micron finish. I reamed this hole out and thought it had an excellent finish, but it was measured at 50 microns. Any suggestions on how to get a better surface finish. I have to hold a .0005 tolerance.
  17. Gcode, that worked great. that was a pretty cool way of doing it.

  19. I am just starting to do some fourth axis work and I was wondering if there were diff. ways to place a line in the center of arcs, when the arcs are at diff angles. I have been using fbm drill and letting it place a vector line in the arcs, and then going into planes and choosing the line as my planes by normal. Thanks
