  1. hi all I'm getting an error message when I try to change the w/o in the tool parameters page. It happens on a copied surf. tool path. I want to run the same TP twice in the same program but with a different offset. Anyone had this problem before or know what causes it.

  3. I started in 1981 as an apprentice Moldmaker and have been useing mastercam for about seven years. Worked in 4 differt mold shops.
  4. Try a 2D toolpath of the contour you want. Then project it onto the surface. Then transfrom by coordinate to the depth you want. It works for engraving onto a cont. surf
  5. Francis Try sketching a containment boundry around the letter.After selecting the rectangle you created and the letter geom.choose done. Then select the area you want to cut. Anywere inside the contian boundry. You will also need to select areas inside the letter if needed. hope this helps
  6. Elad What I was really looking for was a way to delete a specific tool path.That methode deleted the entire library, but thats OK. thanks Tony
  7. After saveing than importing tool paths from library in ops. manager.How to I delete old toolpaths to clean up library?Right click in library dialog box doesn't work.I also tried to delete from the ops folder in explorer with no luck.
  8. I agree with marting.With plunge rough you can skip the surf/rough/pkt in most cases and use surf/rough/contour. However surf/rough/plunge works best with a horizontal machine and through spindle coolant.

  10. How can I customize my tool library in advance? Is there a way to open the TL with out writing a tool path. So that I can set it up for the tools we use in our mold shop and delete the tools I'll never use? thanks Tony K
