I Am Having A Simular Problem With The Termwood Controllers. The Backplot On The Controller Looks Like A Big Circle On Some Arcs. I Have Tryed Posting W/ 4 Decimal Places, Outputting At Each Quadrat,180 Degrees And Have Had No Luck. It Does Seem To Cut A Good Part Though. My Experience Was Controller Related.

I Had An Issue With My Planes Not Staying Relative To My WCS. I Hit = In My View Manager And Then Went To My Top View And Sometimes My Contruction View Would Change, And Sometimes It Wouldn't. No One Else Seems To Have The Same Problem When I Had Made A Post.

A Lot Of Us Conform To Working 40-70 Hours A Week For Someone Else. I Give Newbee Some Credit For Thinking Outside The Box. One Of The Most Successful Stories I Have Heard Came From A Finance Guy Who New Nothing About Machining Or Machines. This Finance Guy Saw A Need In His Company, Bought A Machine, Built A Mold 3 Months Later And Made Wealth. “Attitude And Aptitude”

Newbee- Mastercam Is Very User Friendly. I Worked With Very Intelligent Individuals, That Have Never Worked Hands On In A Machine Shop That Have Made A Sucessfull Career Out Of Programming. I Have Also Seen Many That Have Worked Years In A Machine Shop And Can't Find The File/Open Icon. You Seem Some What Resourcefull, And I Think You Will Do Just Find. Books, A Class Etc. Good Luck!

Are U Using Mastercam Direct? I Use The Mastercam Direct From Solidworks And Have Found That It Blows Up On Me 1 Out Of Every (100 Times +/- A Few). I Import With The "Feature-less brick" Instead Of Import Operations. This Seems To Work.

Opps, I Am Also A NX And V5 Guy

I Am Still Having An Issues W/ The Tool And Construction Planes Changing Orientation. I Consistently Go Into My View Manager And Reset My Tool And Construction Plane To = My WCS. I Tried To Unplug My Space Mouse, Thinking That Might Be The Problem. All The Details I Program Are Relative To The Aircraft Origin. There Are Multiple Tools Holding Fixtures, Vacuum Fixtures, Drill Jigs And Etc. They Are Relative To The Detail's Origin. There Are Multiple MCS That Belong To Multiple Operations And They All Behave That Same Why. This Issue Occurs When I Change My MCS And Then Right Click To The Top View. I Don't Seem To Have This Problem When Programming At Mastercams 0,0,1 Plane, But This Is Not An Option, Since There Are Multiple Design Changes With In A Month's Time. Anyone That Can Help Cheers! Using MR1 SP2

I Keep Setting My Tool And G Planes Over And Over. Am I Doing Something Wrong? Has Anyone Else Experienced This? Jamey

Well, I Tryed Increasing The Memory And Blowing Away My Solid Leaving Only The Surfaces. I Am Going To Use Surface Parallel And Fix My Tool Axis And Split All Surfaces As Required. I Found That I Only Have These Problems When The Models/File Size Gets Too Large. Thanks For The Imput..........Here We Go..One More Time........

Please Help........I Had A Corruped File On This Job I Am Working On And Now A Out Of Memory Error When Trying To Regen A Multisurface 5-Axis. I Started W/ A .2 Step Over W/ A 1.0" Ball To See If It Was The Correct Toolpath I Wanted. Then I Changed The Step Over To .03 And It Gives Me The " Out Of Memory" Error. I Defraged My Computer And Made Sure I Have The Lasted Drivers........This May Be A Good Time To Go Back To Unigraphcs,Catia V5 Or Ncl........."They Can Cut It".............Any Advise Would Be Helpfull.

I Had Projected Some Curves On A Surface To Create A Cross Section. The Curve Endpoints Had Small Gaps.

Hi All- I Have Created A Toolpath (Profile) W/ A Chaining Tolerance Of .002 That Is Set In The Screen Config. I Changed My Config For Creating Setup Docs. The Default Chaning Tolerance Is Changed To .0005 And I Regenerated My Toolpaths. The Toolpath Does Not Have A Closed Chain. Is This Correct?

A Few Of Us Had A Currupt Files In The Last Couple Of Weeks. The File Will Be There, But W/O Any File Size. We Have Be Recently Including Multiple Programs And Models In The Same File. Could This The The Problem? Let Me Know If Any Of You Have Experienced The Same Problem And Any Fixes That You Have Come Up With. Jamey

Yes, I Am Trying To Build Libraries For Part Families Simular To What I Have Done In Unigraphics And Ncl. I Would Think There Would Be Some Functionality To Delete Operations Out Of The .Operation File When Importing Or Exporting. Or Maybe A Hidden Icon That Lets You Open The .Operation File Through Mastercam's GUI. PS. Thanks Thad For Clearing That Up For Me
