    Icons ???

Thanks for the replies, as it turned out I think Dave was right on the money. Under display properties, I unchecked "use large Icons" which seemed to cause NT to rebuild them, now all is well in winDOZE land. Thanks again J.G.

    Icons ???

Not sure if this belongs here but ,.... ALL of my desktop icons have changed to the same as Mill8 ???, NO clue why, the correct apps run, If I manually choose a new Icon for any app it still shows Mcam's Icon. Any thoughts ?? P.S. should I be charging for "Desktop Advertising" Thanks J.G.

    ENGRAVING

Yes, I am using MC8 and I engraved those characters just as you see in the post. If you like , I would be glad to take a look at the file you are having difficulty with.

    Subs

Thanks for the reply Dave, that made perfect sense, and all of your assumptions were correct. BTW: I have only been using V8 for a day or so (I have been using MC off and on since V3.xx) and it is looking REAL good ! ------------------
  9. I think you may be fighting (and losing) physics on this one. Assuming you have minimized your cutting pressure (rake angles, DOC, Width, etc), Maximized your tool holders strength (size, material, Dampening), Maybe you could change the setup to put the spindle perpendicular to the crank axis and use a right angle head ? ------------------

    Subs

Hi Everyone, When I trans/rotate, a drill toolpath with subs on I'm getting a new work offset (G54,G55,G56) at each index, even with "Maintain source operation's work offset numbers" checked, any thoughts ? BTW: after it reaches G59 it roles to G54 and stays there. Thanks, JG [This message has been edited by JG (edited 09-20-2000).]
