Oh-boy, I really don't think I'm the one to ask about that. I modified (hacked up by trial and error) the one that is available on the BBS. If you are a book type learner, there are alot of html books out there, however you need to have some post knowlege. maybe some one else has a tried and true method ?

I have customized the html setup sheet , and pretty much have it the way I want it, except; I would rather use landscape orientation, as it is now there is blank pages when printed as landscape but not when printed as portrait. any thoughts? thanks

sorry for being vague. the post is for a laser, during "drill" functions the post is setup to pass variables to the control namley the hole size, which in the past has been the tool size, the control uses this to vary the feed and power settings, the output I'm looking for is G65 P9998 H"hole size"

ok, so i can't find the dia during drill function, how about, Is there a unique post section for circle mill ? is there a example available on the M/C cd ? thanks again

I downloaded and tried the C-hook on 9 solids, I kept geeting the following error "sp-curve lies off surface". After running it I had my original 9 solids and 189 surfaces and 148 trimmed surfaces, no arcs. maybe it will not work on V8 ?

It is a 4 axis app, also the machine is only capable of indexing to the nearest degree. currently I create a curve on the edge of the hole, break into 3 pieces, create arc three points, then create a cplane/tplane at the nearest degree, then drill (the material is sheet metal, the error between the actual angle and created angle is not a problem) thanks for your help

Hi All, I have to drill solids that have holes about a cylinder, Is there an easy way to create the cplane/tplane based on the hole thru the solid ? BTW they are imported solids and I'm still on V8 Thanks

That must be a V9 thing, I am still on V8, We actually have V9 in house, just have wait until the mis people to load it company wide.

Is there a simply way to get only G17 arcs when doing a 3d contour, using filter arcs. my control balks at G18 or G19 arcs when using cutter comp. thanks alot

I to have noticed "streaking" due to arcs seemingly created "randomly", also I have used "other softwares" that filter to arcs and have not had the same issue. I actually ran the same part under the same surface-toolpath-filter settings and the "other software" made a much smoother part, sorry for the negative info, but its the truth. I think the "other software" looks at the whole surface first, then aligns the arcs as best it can before output. just a guess

Hi Everyone, I'm trying to force my "B" axis output at each toolchg even if the angle has not changed, output is fine if the angle has changed. I set force wcs at tool chg, no help. any ideas ? thanks

Actually it was not a great loss, but you can imagine my problem if it has NOT happened to anyone else. I'm completley confident that the binary masters at CNC has this figured out. Can't wait to get V-9.x, any day now. thanks everyone

I hope this has not happened to anyone else, but here goes. I imported a solid, machined it. I copied the solid to a different level and moved and rotated it. I modified the solid (Boolean op) with a new solid I created, went to a iso view,....... wait for it........... All my solids on the new level disappeared ! no history of it in the tree, just the original. ??????????????????????????????????? plenty of ram, decent graphics, fast processor, xp, V-8

Should be do-able, I have ground Inco 718 w/CBN to make a solid airfoil vane. used a 8" dia F/R wheel, had to add a hi pressure pump and oil

thanks for the input REKD, but I'm still on V-8, (althought I saw the mis guy running around with a signed P.O. and a smile on his face). I will hold on to this it should only be a week b/4 the update. thanks again.

now that I have my HTML setup sheet the way I want it, is there a way to creat it while posting the nc file?, the set-up sheet routine asks me a few questions that I would like in the code as well and I would rather enter it only once. thanks a lot

the posting could have been turned "off" by creating a "transformed sub" there is a check box to the effect of "code it all in the sub"

Hi all, last question about s/u sheets......I hope! using the html.set, is there a way to stop the output of the last section that shows the picture of the tool and the data next to it ? I like the first section that lists each tool used only once, and I think I can add to it. but I don't know how to shut off the lower section that has the operation info. thanks

sorry if I was not clear, It seems to happen when ever there are solids in the file (most of mine are imported x_b files) and I exit M/C after saving the file. The application closes then the error comes up. sometimes it comes up once, sometimes it comes up MANY times (maybe once for each solid ???) after hitting "ok" a few times, if it does not go away, I open the task manager and kill M/C (which is still running in the task manager) to date I have not lost any info, and there are no ill effects opening the file again.
