  1. The unregister and register worked for me. Thanks
  2. Thank you gentlemen. I have the V9.1 disk and was just wondering if the updated SP2 patch would allow me to skip the SP1 and upgrade with a single mouse click. Its not that big a deal, however. Have a good weekend.
  3. Hi folks, Do you still have to upgrade to V9.1 SP1 first before going to V9.1 SP2? The SP1 install is so tedious. Thank you in advance.
  4. Thanks guys. Unfortunately the arrow style is not one of the choices under globals. I am trying to stick to the ASME Y14.5M - 1994 GD&T standard. I can get the shape (equaliteral triangle just by making the width and height the same and I can fill it but I can not get it to invert the triangle like it is on the drawings. Actually I can't even get the GDT chook to run presently. Darn, I want to do these complete drawings in Mastercam (V9.1SP2) (Win XP pro) Paul
  5. Does anyone know how I can get Mastercam to output the arrow style which looks like an inverted equalateral triangle? I am trying to use the Verisurf chook for GD&T and want the filled equalateral triangle on my leaders. Maybe there is a more robust chook around. Thank you in advance.
  6. I just hit the same problem myself trying to face in V9.1 SP2 Works fine in V8.1.1 Yes, the 0.001" trick helps.
  7. Try this link: http://www.gefanuc.com/support/cnc/2020.htm or try this link: http://www.gefanuc.com/support/cnc/3005.htm or see the whole list at this link: http://www.gefanuc.com/support/cnc/faxlist.htm
  8. No I did not try another hasp. The person went back to W98 and all is fine now. Interesting on formating NTFS... you mean as opposed to FAT32? Thanks all.
  9. I just had the guy try out hdd435.exe with no luck. It is still doing the same darn thing. He is going back to W98 tonight. Thank you so much for sending it.
  10. quote: you just have to remove the excess ? You do? All I have to do is "push a button" to make the part come out! hehehe
  11. Hello quote: the fix was to delete the win9X hasp drivers hasp95.sys? Interesting. Will try this tonight. I believe the files you are referring to are C:windowssystemhasp95.vxd and hasp95dl.vxd. I did note however that executing hdd32.exe does in fact overwrite the two above noted files with newer ones. Yes, I am aware of and read all the threads on the gforce card. I feel a retreat to W98 coming! Thank you everyone for your posts. Paul
  12. The resolution is still bad. Restart fixes it. Right now there is nothing else on the port. It has a Athlon 1gb processor. 256 ram. 32mb video. Nvidia Gforce 2 MX100 using a Microsoft driver. Far as I know it was a clean install.
  13. Thanks Bullines Changed "Integrated Peripherals - Onboard Parallel Mode - from ECP to EPP than to Normal. NO luck. Setting back to ECP. Paul
  14. I neglected to say I am running XP Pro. Does this make any difference?
  15. I checked the device manager and there is nothing beside "Ports (COM & LPT) It prints fine. There is, however, a yellow exclamition point beside "Other Devices - PCI Simple Communication Controller" It appears to be ok. Thanks Paul
  16. Willy, I downloaded the file you linked me to. I removed, installed typical and restarted computer. No change. It funny that if I double click hasp80.exe it says that the hasp is found. Thanks for your reply. Paul
  17. Hello, I have a computer that was upgraded to windows xp from windows 98. When executing mill (V8.1 and now v8.1.1) I get the message "warning - HASP not found". In addition, executing mill changes my display properties from 800 X 600 (highest 32 bit color) to 640 X 480 (low 8 bit color). A computer rstart fixes the resolution problem. I have downloaded and executed the xp patch (hinstall.exe) according to Dave's instructions. (-r then -i). I have read all the posts I could find on the subject and tried everything except playing around with the port in the bios. Right now in the bios, the onboard parallel mode is set to "ECP" whatever that means. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you in advance. Paul
  18. When I push ALT V, one of the things I see appears to be a date in parentheses. I would like to ask two questions: 1. What is the significance of the date and, 2. With all the patches being offered, I am having trouble remembering what patches I have installed etc. It seems when I have installed a patch, I am unable to see the difference in what I see in ALT V. How can I find out what patches I have installed? Thank you
  19. Thanks Andy, I agree with all of your statements although it is my belief that when determining cw and ccw on a lathe the standard (not Mastercam's) is that you view it from the headstock. It bothers me that in Mastercam Lathe you drill a hole with ccw and Mastercam Mill you drill a hole with cw! And yes, I determine left and right hand tools by the way they sit on a regular conventional lathe. I also prefer forward and reverse (or M3 M4) terminology as opposed to the confusing cw ccw. I checked all my settings and they were the same as you described ( the list of 5) To be certain I was using a left hand tool which I believe you were using too. (you described it at the top of your post) I also checked the Job su/turret - spindle setting and they were ok. All of this produced a M3. Interestingly enough the mpfan post produced M14 (close enough to M4 for me) So, I tweaked the posts. Here are the three changes I made: sm04 M03 # Spindle reverse sm03 M04 # Spindle forward #if opcode = 104, pswtchspin #Reverse spindle direction I commented out the last line so when the opcode was threading, the spindle would not reverse. For better of for worse, thats what I did. Works ok but I would not doubt there is some consequence lurking in the background. I still don't know why it happened. If anyone does, please let me know. Thank you for your assistance. Paul
  20. Thanks for your reply Andy. Yes, I am using version 8.1.1. and single spindle/turret regular lathe. It appears a tweak to the post is the solution although I hate to have M04 output when CW is selected in tool setup.
  21. I am mounting a left hand tool in a rear turret 2 axes lathe. I need the spindle to run in reverse (M04) or CCW as viewed from the headstock end. (this is the standard is it not?) The only way I can get it to work is to say I have a right hand tool. If I specify the correct left hand tool I have to choose Mastercams CW (in setup tool) which appears to be viewed from the tailstock end. The orientation of the tool looks correct in Mastercam but outputs an M03 instead of a M04. Am I doing something wrong? I am about to change my posts to output the opposite spindle direction. Thank you in advance.
  22. Hello, Currently, when I am trying to snap to the endpoint of a line the little autocursor square just flashes on then off but does not stay. It still snaps however. Also, when stepping through a backplot the tool just flashes on and off but I cannot watch it follow the profile. I am running V8.1.1 Mastercam. I think my graphics card is Intel®810 Chipset. I can correct the problem by reducing the Hardware Acceleration down to 1/4. Is there any other way to correct this problem without droppiing the hardware acceleration or buying a new graphics card? Thank you for any assistance.
