1. I changed to IJK's and BAM!! the part crashed. A totally different part and a totally different program. I wonder what other settings I could try??? so frustrating. I don't know what has changed after my update. I just need to tweek my settings somehow
2. Do you know which one I should choose? Delta center to start? or Delta start to center?
3. Yes, It does sound like it's the machine having the issues. The funny thing is that I originally had my post set at R values about 2 years ago. I had this same problem back then. I ended up increasing my min arc length and radius to fix it I have never had a problem until 2 days ago but, its on a newer machine. I will probably change back to IJK's but, I won't activate the break arcs to quadrants and hopefully this will work
4. okay, I found some nice information on this site. I changed my values to R's instead of IJK's I changed break quadrants to don't break arcs It seemed to have fixed the problem as far as this program goes
5. I don't know if anyone else might be having the same issues. I am using X8 Surface High Speed (waterline) It looks fine on the verfify I post the g code and send it to the machine Fanuc Series Oi MB I run the part and then out of nowhere, the cutter gouges the parts or it does a complete 360' circle when in should just create a corner radius. I have had this problem a long time ago and I had to tinker with the Filter settings to get this to work. Today, No matter what I do. I can turn off the filter or turn it on. The program will just veer off or do these wierd 360' movements and scrap my part out. It's just a simple surfacing of several radii around the edges of the part. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am using IJK's and I have it set to break arcs at quadrants
6. I normally go that route. It weird that some parts have the time and then the others don't show on different part numbers. I will keep track and see if I can figure it out.
7. I am missing the part timer in my backplot window. Does anyone know if this is something new with X8? If so, where can I find out my estimated run time?
8. I have the same problem. I am using round stock and when I go to verify then the stock is not in the right position.
9. i was using surface high speed. It worked fine and i decided to use another tool (bigger diameter) and It wouldn't work so I switched back to the original tool and then I started to get this error. I shut down MC and tried again and it worked again after I regenerated. I have receive this error about 3-5 times this week on various parts. I shut it down and restart and it seems to correct it. I just wish I knew because I have never had this message before with previous versions of MC.
10. Does anyone know what causes this error? Reporting computation error. I have never seen this and I keep getting this message and can't get it to stop. Thanks Michael
11. Does anyone know how I can change the default setting of the "only display the selected toothpaths" to stay active every time I start up Mastercam? http://
12. Thanks I went ahead and contacted my reseller
13. Don, Can you send me your email so I can forward it to you? Thanks Michael
14. the part looks good in verify up to this point "]http://
15. Okay, I was able to find that and I am still having issues The first part should look like 1st pic The remaining pics are what I end up with in verify I posted the code and it comes out fine on the machine Half way through the verify, it turns the tools upside down and starts cutting the part from the opposite of the Top plane. It was fine and then it just started doing this without any changes. "]http://
16. I would also like to know how I can insert the code below on each tool change line? G20 G0G17G40G49G80G90 If I run my machine and stop it in the middle of an operation and restart at a tool. My machine is not set to run a program at default values. So if its running with cutter comp on and I restart, the machine will just machine in random coordinates.
17. I have installed X7 and I changed my integer to #1 for G30. My post is coming out like the picture attached. Does anyone know how I can get rid of the lines after the block deletes? http://
18. I am programming using more than 1 work offset (G54 and G55) through "transform by coordinate" I wonder if this is throwing it off
19. I shut down Mastercam and now when I verify the stock is not being removed but everything is checked off. Am I missing something?
20. I am using X7 and I loaded a part that was programmed from X6. Everything was working great and then out of nowhere, my Verify started going beserk. When I verify, the order of the program is not correct and its chopping up my model during verify. Is anyone having this problem? I know the program and everything is correct and I can probably run the part on my machine but like I was saying its not showing correctly in verify. Is there a place in Verify where I can change setting such as stock size and I would like to see if it is set to verify in TOP. Was working great and then it just stopped. I have restarted and it still does not fix the problem.
21. thanks I ended up doing it the old fashion way...lol I created curves and ran my tool along the path. I will try the other methods on my next set of parts
