Just my 2 cents,
Fadals over Haas. I have had Fadal's for years and they always have performed for me. I still have 2 of them that I bought in 1995 and is still working well. I never owned a Haas so I dont know about them. The only thing I have heard on them that they are a great throw away machine.
Hope this helps, Lou

Mitsubishi FA20V is one of the fast and accurate wire that I have seen. Then again, I like mitsubishi. I have 2 of thier sinkers. We did buy a few years ago a FANUC wire, But I dont know if that is a big enough machine for you.
Hope this helps, Lou

Hi New York, From Michigan

Mastercam X looked really nice down at IMTS. It seems like it is close to being released. I would rather they take a little longer to make sure there a no bugs for all of us to deal with.
Have a good day!

Hi all,
I am looking at getting a new computer and I was wondering how many people are using dual processer's in Mastercam?
How are you using it?
How does it work?
Pro's and Con's?
Thanks in advance for your input, Lou

Thanks for your help, Lou

That is about right for us also. $.30 or $.35. You would think that with the alum. prices going up that the chip price would be too???
Have a good Day.

You may need to hire someone with a strong background in this. There are alot of things that you just cant learn in books. Or, Maybe even a consultent???
Just my 2 cents.

Beleive it or not, that is a question I ask people when I am interviewing them. And you are right. Not to many people use it....

Mike,
I will be contacting them today to see about a bug # I just wanted to throw it out on the forum to make sure that I am not crazy.
I searched the forum and I am surprised on how little restmill seems to be used. I may be wrong?? Like I said, there was a time that I didnt use it because some things did not make sence to me.
Thanks for the reply! Keep em coming, I will take all the input I can get on this.
Have a good Day, Lou

Finally, someone else that feels my pain.. I sent the file into Mastercam but I have not heard anything back yet???? I hope they will fix this soon. Because it is a great tool and now I feel handicapped without it.
It almost feels like restmill is a taboo subject. I had problems with it at one time and gave up on it. Someone came along a showed me the way it "really" works and now it is a great tool.
Thank you for the reply, Lou

+1 Cammando, sounds like you have to map the drive through windows explorer first before you try to set a data path in Mastercam.
