I have not talked to you in a long time. I dont know if you remember me or not. You were out to our place one or two times.

Anyway, I made some switches and I get a bunch of errors now??? I just want the Z max depth for each tool so the operator knows how long to leave the cutter sticking out of the holder. Here is my code in that area......

As you can see from my post yesterday. I am trying to nail down a good setup sheet for my company. I have everything the way I like it. But, now I am lacking one thing.... Max Z depth per tool. I have gone through the mill.set a few time and can not figure out were in the H*(( it is.

If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

I did update the post witch seems to work fine for the g-code. But, It is my setup sheet that is not working correctly. I figured that it was my mill.set that needed fixing. Are these Tied together somehow or do I need to update the mill.set alone. I guess I dont quiet upderstand how that works???

I Copied my mill.set from V8.1 to V9.1 and I am getting some really crazy stuff. It seems to make an operation on the setup sheet for every step down that a Pocket program would make insted of just 1 tool Decription for the whole pocket. Kinda hard to explain.

Does anyone have an Idea on how to fix this OR If anyone has a nice working mill.set for V9.1 they would like to share with a fellow MC user ??

While I was checking out the server. I realized I did a stupid thing. I ran the lmsetup.exe from a dos shell. I re-ran it in windows and now it is all working. oops

I am trying to install V9.1 in our computers at work. I install the nethasp along with the software on our server. The Server sees all of the licences on the NetHasp. But when I install V9.1 on the client and run the nethasp util it tells me that NetHasp can not be found on the network. So, I tried to goto the nethasp.ini and put in the exact IP address and It still will not see the NetHasp.

Is there ANYTHING I can do to figure out what I am doing wrong???

I know I am WAY behind the times. But, My company just bought V9 and I installed it and also installed Mold Plus. Everything seemed to go well. But when I try to run Mold Plus from within Mastercam I get an error that says....

Warning-unsupported Funtion call

Recompile with new m_*.h, link with new m_*.obj files.

I am not sure what this is asking me to do. Can someone help??? Thanks in advance!!!

This is someting that I never had to use before. But, It has come up now and I only remember doing it in class. That is stretch a surface around by dropping point on a surface. For the life of me. I can not remember were that was in the menus...By the way..I am still using 8.1.1 :-(

I was wondering if anyone has a good way using Mastercam to tap on a FADAL? If so, How do you go about it and what codes are important because I am sure you cant have the over rides turned on the control when you are using this.

That seems like it is a postprosser problem. We have Fadals also and the post I am using does not do that. You can try a different post just to seen if you get the same results. Hope this helps.

It is a surfaced part. I would love to have it in solid. But, Not in this case.

Every time I start mastercam with nothing open and it pegs my processer. I shut down mastercam and it goes down to 3%. There are all new dells 1.8's in the room with mastercam on them. Only one is running mastercam at less than 10%??? I have checked the config in MC and I dont see anything different from mine to the one that is working right???can anyone help me????????

I have the Catia Translator for Mastercam and every time I try to read in a Catia file it comes up with a box with the information about the file. When I hit OK it crashes Mastercam instantly. I tried un-installing it the re-installing it and I get the same result. If anyone has any ideas for me I would much appreciate the help. Thank You, Lou

P.S. I had that computer post a while ago. I ended up getting a DELL 1.8 GHz (400MhzBus),P4 with 512 megs of ram, 36Gig HD, nVIDIA Quadro2 Pro w/64megs. And I have been loving it!!!

Thank You for your input. I kept the price down with a smaller hard drive only because we a Storage Server to put all our data on anyway. Thanks again. I will take anymore input people have to say on it......
