I have had it run for an hour or more...yes, surface finish contour.

hey all, I am having an issue from time to time where, when I post certain tools in a program, the comment in the nc code tends to be too long and errors-out my machines. I have tried going into the control definition and limiting the nc comment characters to no avail. Any suggestions? I am far from being any type of post guru, but have made some adjustments in the past for other issues. Thanks

Okay, what I have found is that this file version is 16.0.1.1 when all of the other c-hooks are 16.0.8.0. so, how would I update this? I have deleted and removed and re-downloaded from mc's website with same results.

I choose the c-hook, choose the points, which highlight like they are supposed to, and thats it. I can not go any further. the green button does not illuminate. the option to choose what size arc does not pop-up, nothing. these are fresh computers, no other version of Mastercam has ever been installed on them.

while I was on vacation we got new computers. IT installed X7 by downloading off of the web. I am unable to utilize the points to arcs c-hook. I used it constantly in X6. Is anyone else having a problem using this c-hook or have any suggestions on fixing it? I think if we reloaded from the disk, if we ever receive our copies, it would take care of it since there are other small glitches that I am encounter on both of my systems. any help would be much appreciated.

i used to use wire frame swept 3d on negative drafts. I now, 99% of the time, use surface finish contour and change colors of entities, lead-in lead-out and leave about .003 on check surfaces.

lets say you just created a couple of hundred points using point segment. is there a quick and easy way to add circles around thos points without choosing each point individually?

neither systems have crashed today, yet. typically freezes if I post one operation and then try to post another without saving after the first posted op. even with no changes to the program. trying to get in the habit of saving after posting.

why not use surface finish contour, select all surfaces, select the top chain for your boundary?

my setting are the same as they were in X5, never had this happen. this morning I just added a simple contour to get it to verify.

No, I shutdown both computers at night unless i have one that is still calculating an operation.

just started using X6 this week. having an issue with verify. when I come in in the morning and open a program that I started the previous day I try to verify to see where I left-off and MC freezes. If I add one more op then I can verify. Is it just me or is anyone else experiencing this? I am running windows 7 64-bit. Thanks in advance Doug

i am the sole programmer/operator in our company. with three mills and one router i have been running my machines twenty-four/seven for the past two and a half years. and the work just keeps coming

I also get this quite often. seems to be on one computer more than the other. Also it seems to happen to me mainly when I am trying to post a program.
