  1. I dont have the 5 axis add on. Cant help.
  2. Look at the menu for configuration in the control. Somewhere it will tell you the ver # and options added. The full nc package is a option. Its more then likely a 2 level buy in to get everything on the NC side. $$ In any case, there is a WO table for the NC Side. You have to be in the NC side to see it.(Most likely the same as the older versions.) It works almost the same as a funac in setting up. Play with it so you see how it work. The manuals are most likely still crap in telling you how it all works.
  3. Are you working on the nc or coversational side? I figure the nc side. Do you have the full nc package installed? There is a table for WO's in the control, BUT you need the full package to use it to its full potential. Ex: you cant work from the bottom up (Z0 on the bottom of the part) unless you have the full package. Ita a hurco thing.
  4. Thanks All. Its funny that nobody from the tooling side addressed this issue directly. Good Ideas here. Machine guy
  5. Thanks guys. A button insert is what I was thinking. Maybe a A4 or smaller with a round form or a small button tool. Talk about something that needs to be devoloped for lathe apps !
  6. What tools do you use? I need to cut shallow and deep dish shapes in the face of several different parts. Who makes tools for this?
  7. Print Screen, open paint, ctl v, crop the window and print. There are software programs that do this very well, just dont remenber what its called.
  8. You always need to define the solid you want to use. Even if it takes 20 clicks to get all the solids. I don't think there is work around in MC
  9. On a Haas. I have a VM-3, with a 12000 rpm spindle. I run 1500 SFM on the roughing. EX: 12000 rpm, 100 ipm. I use a rougher at the start as it breaks up the chips so the coolant system can flush the chips out. For the jobs I do, .500 depth of cut works well as I usually have a lot of posts to cut around.
  10. Not so. Define the tool as a corner rad tool.Flute length is radius + .003. Always for harvey. Pilot dia is the "tool dia" used to generate the path. The tool od is what the tool is. It works perfect. No need for a custom tool defination.
  11. Go to "Harvey Tools". Best corner rounding tool out there. Dimensions are repearable tool to tool. No need for the operator to adjust everytime the job is set up!
