  1. I use a software that I found somewhere called Stellram Threading application Software. I don't know where I got it from but it works great. All you have to do is pick what thread you are putting in and it gives you all the information you need to program it. Here is a link to it, when you go to the web site the threading software is on the bottom right side of the page. Just download it.

  2. When I look at the macro's in the template that came with X+ everything is in another language. I am having a hard time figuring this out. I am going to enjoy learning this but I need help.

  3. That would be great if you could send me your templete. I started looking at the format sheet and the macros in it. I am starting to see how this all works but now I need to figure out how to change it to the look I want for my company. I have never done macro's before so I have some learning to do.

  4. I must be to stupid to figure this out. cuckoo.gif I love how fast x+ works but I can not figure out how to get my own setup sheet that I designed to work. I will keep trying to get it but I do not have a lot of time on my hands to figure this out. If somebody could give a clue I would appreciate it.

  5. I had to convert an old v9 post to x4 and I am having problems with the code. I only want 5 places after the decimal and the it is giving me 6 places on some of the I's and J's. I went into the control def and told it to only put out 5 places after the decimal but it still puts out 6 in some places.

  6. I have a question about high speed toolpath. Today I needed to change the diameter of the cutter and it changed the stepdown of the toolpath. Is there a way to lock my stepdown so it will not change on me. That could screw you up if you were to miss that.

  7. Back on this subject again, I just started running a job and I am using a defined tool on a tool path. I am cutting a 45 deg tapper down in a part. I have a ball drop to check the depth. When I run the program the ball drop was showing +.006 high on the ball drop. I checked everything and everything was right on the program side of it, I also checked the gaging of the tool to make sure that it was gaged right. Then I created just a ball endmill and ran that and it was right.

When using a user defined tool and you put in the dia. it should know what to offset, how does it know if it is a ball or not? On verify it looks like it offsets the path good to the part. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Some how it is not offsetting it right. cuckoo.gif
