  1. Is it a 2d path? If so try edit, simplify (select all geo) and play with the filter settings on the toolpath settings!
  2. Teamviewer is very good, fast file transfer and good iPhone app!
  3. Is the nc filename and prog nos set differently under edit selected operations?
  4. Ok got it sorted!! the error in my way was that i was saving the geomtry from backplot and using that as curves for the surface project, tried the Nci option and works much better and less jumping about!!!!!
  5. I have to engrave the company logo on a curved surface, I did a 2 d pocket cycle and projected that to the surface, the problem is Each time it hits an intersection point from the 2d it retracts and plunges on same point in many places! Is there a better way to acheive a smoother toolpath for this?
  6. Im looking for a way to force my post to output the code, when code is posted for a command to open up an external program to verify the code on the prog that was just posted. Any Ideas?
  7. Lee, after aligning the m/c does it ask to align the atc? using the buttons on the right hand side of screen, in manual mode there should be an option to "jog drum to spindle" and vice versa, also option buttons for rotating the drum back and forth! if memory serves me right you have to get the "jog drum to spindle" highlighted on the screen then press the "mechanisim jog" button above the cycle button to move the atc. be carfull at with aligning the drum, because when booting the machine it does not know which is tool 1!!!!
  8. Is it a carousel tool changer? There is a way of operating the atc manually, hence request of pics! It's been about 5 years since I last worked on one of these! Loading it manually was the same on all the cincinnatis I've worked on!!
  9. Granted they are old, but if it has been looked after, the machine will be good! You may struggle with parts for it, and the control is not the best, its simaler to the arcamatic a2100 (there is a programming manual on the FTP somewhere)
  10. Exactly! The atc needs loading by hand first! Could you post a screenshot of the control screen and the buttons on the right hand side of the screen? It may jog my memory a bit! Btw this is a very old control.
  11. It more than likely thinks it has tool 0 in the spindle! Is the machine a sabre?
  12. Not worked one of these for a few years now, But if memory serves me right an M2 will put the tool away and end prog! M30 will end prog and rewind! you will have to load tool into atc first.
  13. Select the entity's that you want, xform, translate then select "use new attributes" and choose new level!
  14. How about surface finish parallel the floors and a surface finish project the walls and rads providing you can use the same size ballnose as the corner rads?
  15. Welcome to the forum! you put the control and MMD file into the cnc machine folder which is in the shared folder(C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\shared mcamx5) and the post file into the post folder, you only need one of the post files depending onwhat machine you are using vertical or Horizontal! Hope that helps!
  16. Welcome to the forum! Try programming in the front plane for horizontals! front = 0.0, right = 90.0, back = 180.0 and left = 270.0! this is standard for HMC and your post must be set up for this.
  17. You can remote connect to a pc which houses the hasp and use mastercam on the desktop pc works, but to use the hasp from a desktop on your laptop via remote, dont think it can be done! the difference between nethasp and hasp(dongle) is nethasp can let the license "float" on a network. hasp is for stand alone pc.
  18. File on the FTP! This time as internal rads111... All looks good my end!!!
  19. Try Trim/break, break drafting into lines!
  20. If it's a gouging problem, keep your retracts within the job! I also used direction and I edited the toolpath! I didn't use a custom tool either, mine was a slot mill with corner rads .01mm smaller than actual rad! If you want I could have a look at file if you put it on the FTP!
  21. Pm is personal messenger! Hit the little envelope under name of who you want to message!
  22. Keith not to sure this can be used with setup sheet the way it is at moment. Also if you use the same tool more than once you would have two N #s assigned to the same tool making the operators job a bit more complicated! For me the N number is just a quick way of searching the prog! @ mwright780 I also use an excel setup sheet! looks pretier than the mcam ones, and you can get more info about the job on it! In the psof section change the *tseq=1 to *tseq=1-99 which will get the N1 at first tool call, and by the looks of it you may have an extra "tseq = tseq +1" in there somewhere?
  23. My post had no n sequene at all, so this is what i added to get them. maybe you need to change the "omitseq" in the general output settings section!
