  1. Check in the "options" dialog box when you go to open the iges and see if there is anything set differently to the v9 file. I cant see anything that would effect the part opening but it may be a good place to start
  2. Hi Kevin, In the level manager, does it appear to have entities in the file? If it does, you may just need to use the un-blank entity option. Hope this Helps, Brendan
  3. Hi Everyone, I am looking to build a setup sheet for Mastercam programs. Most of it is fairly standard i.e basic tooling data, datums, fixtures, program info etc. What I am wondering is what the best way of going about this is. I am html and javascript savvy, and have dabbled in xml and vb but not too much. I've also been looking into c++ but only recently. Is there any development apps available for this purpose? or is the active reports designer all? Also is there a reference somewhere for syntax and functions to interact with mastercam? Thanks in advance, Brendan
  4. Found it, and it DOES work! Thanks very much for the help. It's good to know that there is a couple of ways to skin this cat! Brendan
  5. Thanks for all the replies. The zoom and colour is definitely not the issue as I have tried both of these things. As far as nothing in model space goes, I agree that is the problem. I would've thought that the standard procedure is to create the part in model space and then use viewports to get it to paper space as such? As far as the Un-blank entities is concerned...where can i find this option? I would be interested to give it a go and see if it works! Thanks again for all the replies! Brendan
  6. Think I worked it out! Not fully sure why it works but if I went into Options in the open dwg dialog box and turned off Blank paper space It seemed to import fine.
  7. Hi All, Trying to Open DWG files in MasterCAM X5. What happens is the file opens, displays the levels and #of entities on each level, but the screen appears blank, even when all of the levels are set to visible. If I drag a window around the screen or try selecting all entities, it doesn't select anything! Has anyone run into this problem before or have an idea as to what may be causing this? I'm probably doing something wrong! Thanks in advance! Brendan
