  5. Ron, I did,t mean that you were wrong or anything like that at all. I am amazed when folks like your self know how to change thing around and do somethind like this. I never could get going this way. Now when the advanced tool paths came along and I was able to do porting, it was so easy I just wanted to tell somebody. Thanks for your time to reply and next time I come across something I can't do I am going to post it.This Form and members are great. Thanks Again Phil/DRS ,nt
  6. RON, I am talking about port cyl heads, I do some billit heads that are 100 percent machined and require NO hand work. There is no uncut areas that I have run across. And there is pages and pages of cutter controles I offset the tool paths to rough port and finish any size plus or minius from the surface. How about other guys porting heads? Thanks Phil
  7. Erik, have you tried advanced multyaxes tool paths? they are very easy with lots of control I use them daily for full 5axes porting Phil
  8. I have a fadal with the tr65 4th and 5th axes and have heard that as the B axes get close to positioning the(a axes flat or horizonial) that something goes on that causes a lot of movement. I know this is vauge but I have a gouging when this happens.I can,t see any reason for the extra A movement.I amy cutting a port but its almost a round hole and is the easest, most room that I have had and now I can,t cut it. My post guy doesn,t see a reason either and said he would wright it up and send to CNC software.I though some of you might know about issue. Have used the advanced multieaxes for quite some time now. Thanks, Phil Darcy/DRS
  9. What do you guys feel about Rhino as a helper to MC for surfacing any advantage? Mostly working with digitized data from touch probe on machine of cylinder head ports to surfaces.

  11. I see now that you can double click in the levels field to the right of the levels and type in. But before you could drop down where you were typeing in a new level # and description and added what you want to the level set space. Maybe CNC can patch this easy. Phil Darcy
  12. OK, Andrew I will try that. Thanks for taking the time to play with this Phil Darcy

  19. I am having a random problem with x2 mr1 sp1 where mastercam closes on its on. Now some times there is a MC boxe that ask if you want to send in problem but I don't have internet on this computer. It is completely random as far as I can tell. 20. When transforming a tool path there is a box to reverse tool path but I have never got it to work. Anybody had any luck with it. X2 for now. Thanks
  21. Using X2 I have found when I go back to several programs that have aready been finished, posted and run that the tool in ops mgr in not in the parameters page. Some programs I found have several tool paths in ops mgr. and no tools in parameters page. Any body have this happen?
  22. Robert, I think you have the formats backward. format 1 e1 with move to what it is format 2 e1 won;t produce movement At least my 2 fadal work this way Phil
  23. speaking of fadal format 2 can any one tell me when the e offset is applied and does it need to be on a line with what else. The reason I ask I was trying to use a g51.1 x0 to mirror a drill tool path but Z stopped way above part, take out g51.1 x0 and tool path is fine.I couldn't quite figure this out in format 1 you know when E offset is applied soon as it reads that line away it goes. also in format 1 you can input e offset and h offset and then jog to check Z depths before running and I would like to be able to do this but I'm missing somthing. I have read manual any advice. Phil/DRS
