  1. Works for me as well, so it's an isolated incident
  2. You're welcome. Some people in this industry tend to protect their knowledge/tools for fear of losing their job when we should all be sharing everything we know to help improve businesses across the country. It can only benefit the industry in the long-run..

  6. The ftp link is pinned in this Idustrial forum. Look near the top of the postings
  7. What tolerance are you trying to hold? How far out are they? Are they off location in one axis? Are you drilling the holes on the outer reaches of the pallet, causing it to twist under pressure? Please provide some details so we have an idea of what's happening..
  8. Thanks for all the input, it has been valuable
  9. Thanks for the info, I just sent contact info to SFA.. Predator is my first choice, but I'm wondering if there is anyone who does it just as well, for less. Also, with the Mori's being network ready, would we still need a DNC software to manage and transfer files, or would it just be Window$ based with something like Filezilla?
  10. I recently started at a new shop that is still stuck in the '80s, no machines are networked. after 2-months I finally convinced them of the benefits. I haven't done any DNC setup myself but am aware of the need. I'm looking for any suggestions on software and setups that I may help in the planning stages before any purchases are made. I have contacted Predator, as they are the only one I've ever used, but that was many years ago. We are settingp up 12 machines, 10 of them late '90s Mazaks and Okumas, but we are getting 2 new Mori Seikis and a pallet system. Fire away with your suggestions so I don't seem so lost in the management meetings XD. One side note, we are a huge facility but we are primarily a welding/fab shop, wireless is not an option. Much appreciated.
  11. But Mastercam isn't school. True it's learning, but we do this because it's excitng and cutting edge. What school subject can say that? Don't sweat the test, just learn as much as you can and embrace that no matter how long you use it you will never know it all..
  12. That's funny, I started in '92 also.. may have been classmates
  13. Don't use just one resource, use them all. every person you get help from will teach you something different. I've taken several classes at NTMU Ontario as well as at Mt. Sac. You can never learn too much, and spend time in this forum, there is a lot of good info.
