    I found how to change the location for the machine / control files, but not set a global path for everything. I'll need to setup a network location for the posts and all too. So much to relearn. Tucson is about the same. A lot of changes for me the last several years.

    Good morning boys and girls! I have our brand new MasterCam loaded on my workstation - yoo hoo. I'm looking at the infrastructure and how to setup the user working directory's on the network. Is there utility to move all the file paths to a common directory? Right now it looks like moving each path one at a time. Doable but a lot of time! Anyone use the Project Manager? It looks like what I want, but it's per each file not a global setup. If there was only a workgroup manager for MasterCam (PTC Windchill) I would be all set.

    They use E2 here and we spend more time working around the system than using it. It is not ERP or MPR - it's strictly a job shop floor control. I looked at JobBOSS several years back and liked it. We use PTC Windchill as our CAD PDM system. On of my tasks this Fall is to see about implementing the 'parts' Product Structure module. That way we can build the mBOM correlating to the as designed eBOM (from the CAD models).

    So all the shopping and laundry is done, the house reasonably clean except for vacuuming (that's the dog's chore btw) so why do I feel totally lazy reading on the patio and soaking up sun? :)

    SO I got the quotes and the justification all buttoned up for a Haas VF-3YT. Yahoo. Nooooooooooooow, they want a CNC Lathe too. Yahoo. A Citizen A20. The new ones are VII but there are some used VI models out there. If I can get some idea of what live tooling setup they think they need, I can look at MasterCam for the lathe package.

    We all need caring thoughts and loving prayers right now. If I don't see your name, I'll understand. May I ask my friends wherever you might be, to kindly copy, paste, and share this status for one hour to give a moment of support to all those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, worries of any kind and just need to know that someone cares. Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune.

    We will be getting X6; the machine they want is a Hass. Jamman, I was doing some overflow work for Applied last year at home, so I still have a good knowledge. The Arizona VAR (MCL-CAD) linked me up with a demo home version so I've been playing this afternoon...

    Hi guys (and gals) We are buying a new CNC machine here and we all agree to bring in MasterCam. Currently there is an older SmartCam version in use. Yea Haw! I've been given the task of implementation and training.

    Got to know Catia 4 pretty well several years ago. Would love LOVE to get in someplace where I can learn and drive Catia V5. My Pro/E project here is wrapping up end of March and all new jobs are in SolidWorks. Kathy

    Statistics for the selected entities. I'm thinking a number in the status bar would be nice; so much less clicking and maneuvering.
