well I did what you did and moved everything Z+.25 and hit regen on all ops and it took 33 sec. Then I regen 1 op and it takes 8 sec after that. I opened up another part I did that's a pretty big program and the regen is instant. Thanks rick and I may just wait for X8 to come out
ok so I went back to that file and it took 8 sec to regen one contour op. I did notice that at the top of the
operation manager while it was regening it said not responding then blinked and then regenerated
I unistalled X7 and reinstalled and ran the thread test with file (HST-CORE-HORIZONTAL-RASTER)
and set total tolerance to .0001 and here is what I came up with
44 sec to regen
Utopia desk top
INTEL CORE i7-2600k cpu 3.4GHz
WINDOWS 8 PRO 64 BIT
8 GIG RAM
QUADRO FX 1800
I use the same mastercam file for a part family which means I don't have to program every part from scratch so that means there is regenerations of operations!!!
Its very painful when I have to go through 100 operations. I guess if I am the only one having the problem then I will try uninstalling and reinstalling.
I started using X7 when it 1st came out and after a couple weeks went back to X6. The reasons are the new simulator and how slow it takes to open up and get ready to simulate and how slow it takes my operations to regen like 4 to 10 seconds. I cant stand watching the screen waiting for mastercam to do anything. So I went back to X6 because its super fast. I did call the guys up to see if they had any salutions to speeding things up and we tried a couple things but none helped. My computer is not slow either! I installed X7 mu2 yesterday to see if it was quicker and its the same slow
Ive been programming for 13 years in mill and now i get to program the lathes wich is new to me so i was wondering if anybody has a haas lathe post they want to share. I need all the help i can get since our lathe guy is gone and the lathe guy we have now is not good at programming
