  1. I see your in Gilbert Az. Iam up in Deer Valley. We have 2 A61 HMC Makinos. These are very nice machines.I also run a Doosan vertical 60 x 30.Doosans are nice.I will take the Makino over Doosan.
  2. Anybody have one or can tell me where to get one.Called Mastercam ,they said they will get back to me.LOL My controller is an OI series.
  3. I have used surfcam for 15 yrs ,Mastercam for 3yrs.Mastercam is way better.Surfcam is easy to learn and use.Let me know if you need help. Kurt Cnc programmer /Toolmaker 35 yrs.
  4. Creating node points. It wont stay locked in for multiple splines.Other cam systems stay locked in on that task. I have to keep opening the create node drop down module for every spline.
  5. So basically use the lower turret for roughing an finishing spindle 1 an spindle 2 use turning tools in head for that.Yeah the guy setting it up has zero experience on it and it shows.yep hes my boss but even i know as a mill guy that his set-ups are not the correct way to run these machines. .
  6. So we have the main spindle head an a lower turret. The boss wants to do all turning an threading ,facing etc.On the lower turret. That means the lower turret has to travel all the way over to the 2 spindle.Which when it is over on the 2nd spindle it is stretched to its limit on travel. Is that a good way to do it.He also wants spin tooling only for 5 axis head. .Does that make sense some of you guys?
  7. We have 2 makino a61 horizontals. Also have a MAS pallet system.Any give me some help that have the same system to show me how they drop there main an sub into the nc download area.
  8. The Okuma MacTurn250 is a multifunction turning center including an automatic tool changer, an automatic tow-along tailstock and lower turret. The MacTurn250 has the broadest scope of machining functions of any Okuma CNC machine in the 6 -10 inch chuck class. MacTurn is the embodiment of power, speed, and process flexibility. Complete the work in one setup and with tools to spare in the ATC. The MacTurn has two independent turrets that can machine independently or simultaneously. The upper saddle carries a dual function spindle head with 10hp integral milling motor spindle. The base offering has 44-tools available via the traversing ATC. The upper turret has a 1-degree B-axis and compound motion Y-axis for machining flexibility. The main spindle is equipped with a full contouring C-axis (0.001deg incr). The lower turret completes the concept, bringing 12 additional turning stations and four-axis flexibility to the ultimate Okuma Lathe. Familiar programming methods from both lathe and machining center disciplines blend easily on the Okuma THINC®-OSP control, providing advanced milling functions. With the optional sub-spindle (W), parts can be seamlessly transferred between the spindles for completion in one operation.
