  1. have a look at http://www.camaix.net/5_axis_machining.html they have extended 5x posibilities, also gouge checking. it's really impressive best regards Markus
  2. hello Forum, can anybody mail me this stlheal chook please? i dont find it on my installation. mail to: ram.303(at)bluewin.ch thank you Markus
  3. Hi Winnie, sofar, i have got some results, which i can mill...thank you for your help and input best regards, Markus
  4. Helle Winnieh, that looks excellent! really! :-)but, if i understand your answer right, then rough/pocket is the only way to rough it? no flowline or contour roughing out this profile from the full material? i had something in mind like the 2dswept and then use the swept2r chook. but there, i have the problem with the gouge of upper half.. best regards, Markus
  5. Hello Forum, with search, i found some topics, which helped me to get almost done, what i want. If possible, have a look at tslot-undercut.mc9 on the ftp. It looks pretty nice, but has on the "upper half" of the path some strange retracts, i cant explain myself. Anybody can figure it out? Also, is it possible to rough this part with the t-slot mill? I tried rough/contour and rough/flowline, but had just no luck, when i applied the settings under gaps/check collision like in my programmed finishing flowline.. best regards, Markus
  6. Hello Scot, i also assume, it's the helix moves. As Henk already said, linearize the helixes. Your NC-File will get bigger because of that. If you dont wish that, you have to change the post for polar output. good luck, Markus
  7. hi Leith, as far as i remember you have to use G51.1 for starting the mirroring and G50.1 for ending it. But refer to your control documentation for the details! best regards, Markus
  8. hi Merlin, it is also possible to output your desired comment with a modified post. with the variable opcode you can detect, what type of operation you're doing. so it would be easy to write a procedure, which comments the nc in dependancy of the opcode. regards, Markus
  9. hello Pip, the STEP converter is an addin, which you have to pay for. regards, Markus
  10. Hello Forum, thanks again for the fast answers and help. it worked fine for me :-) best regards, Markus
  11. Hello Forum, i should do following: i have a chain made of lines and arcs. now, i should have points on that chain with about 0.1mm distance to each other. i looked through the chooks, but didnt find any, which could do something like that. does anyone of you know, how i could do this? it havent to be a chook of course, just a method how i could do this with not too much effort. best regards, Markus
  12. Hello Iskander, here's my reply..was away today. Hey, this works, i'm so stupid, i should have found out that by myself. Thank you very much! You're great :-) best regards and wishes Markus
  13. hello forum, my english is a little bit too bad to explain, why i should use such a strange way to mill the pocket". But it's just the way, i have to mill, so it will work in that titanium stuff.. perhaps i'm doing it with subprograms. but thanks for your input regards, Markus
  14. Hello Forum! i have to mill a contour pocket with several depths and thin walls. My goal is following: -do a rough cut at a z-depth - do a finishing cut at the same z-depth as before in roughing, but with a new tool - do the next rough cut at new z-depth -and again a finishing cut at this z depth wit the second tool. now, i imagine, because of the fact, i use 2 different tools, i need to program the two operations (rough and finishing) for each z-depth (copy, paste and then change the z-depths) i wouldnt have a problem with that, when there would be lets say 6 depths or so. But i will have about 30 depths to mill in this pocket. So it's a big amount of time to copy paste and change the z-values. i'm just wondering, if there is any posibility to do such a strategy with less work? best regards, Markus
