  1. I'm having problems with quadro fx 1700 card and MU2. It takes forever to select curves on solids. It was fine with MU1.
  2. Can any body guide me on how to program 90 deg angle head in X2-MR2. I was in an impression that it can be done by using C-plane as machining plane and tool plane to the direction tool is coming from. TIA
  3. Thanks for all the feedback. I run one occurence of x. But usually have v9.00 running along with it. I do have Auto save enabled overwriting same file. Is it possible to create operations from NC file?
  4. I made a program with about 50 operations.Operations were created using Solids, Surfaces and wireframe.I worked on and off on this file for three days.File was opening fine, operations were good in operation manager until this morning. When I opened the file today everything dissappeared including operations and geometery. I'm using X MR2. Anyone else had this problem?
  5. On Import the color of imported geometry changes to Red. How do I fix this?
  6. I tried it with SP1, Gives same result. Did anybody look at the file?
  7. I've uploaded a file in MCX folder call problem corner. In contour tool path ".81 deep" I'm getting strange code at .627 rad. Instead of posting I and J it is posting small linear moves and then circular move. I'm using latest mpmaster for ver X.
  8. I changed it to "FROM DEFAULTS". That fixes it.
  9. I'm using speeds and feeds from tool. While copying a tool path speed and feed shouldn't change but they do.
  10. I started using X. Here are few problems I faced. 1. When copying a tool path, speeds and feeds change to default from library and cannot be edited. 2. When editing a Tool inside toolpath parameters it doesn't update the values on corresponding fields. Are there any settings to fix it or is it a bug?
  11. Waiting for X in Kitchener. So close to IN-House still so far away.
  12. Michael I tried different combinations of depth of cut and feed. At this feed it lasts for couple hours. More then this they are breaking every 15 min to 1/2 hour. Chris I did take look at robbjack tuffy endmills they do have one with 040 dia and .060 flute length. I will give it a try on Monday.
  13. I can't use slitting saw. I'm using HSS endmill. .005 depth of cut but it is taking forever at 5.00" feed. I will check robbjack
  14. I need to machine .032 wide .04 deep grooves on aluminum plate. Total linear length of grooves is 1800". I'm limited with RPM to max 10000. Any one have any suggestions for cutter. I've to do this part on H. Boring mill.
  15. You already have my resume

    delcam

I'm using mastercam and delcam everyday and I like both. There are many features in delcam which are very handy for surface machining and processing speed is faster. But as far as overall cad-cam package no-one can beat mastercam.
  17. Any one using this system for feed control? Does this system have look ahead for contour shape? We have 5 Horizontal Machines with 16i control. We have problems with under shooting and over shooting at higher feeds.
  18. Thanks everyone for replying. "update graphics view when changing wcs" works great. I don't pull my hairs anymore.
  19. I wil try that and post the results
  20. Yes, I do get the right depth first time, but afterwards graphics view changes to top.I 've to change graphic view every time. Thanks
  21. I use 3-d models to program various operations using C-plane and T-plane. I like to pick depths of pockets or holes directly from model. But when I am in a different plane then Top and pick the depths The G-view jumps back to top. which is very annoying. Every time I'm working in a view other then Top this happens. Any thoughts? Thanks
