Hi Loken welcome to forum To change tool path into geometry you have to go to Operation manager, select operation you wont to convert into geometry. Click Backplot, Display and check Save As geometry make sure you check Save to level it will put tool path lines into separate level and you delete easy lines after you done. If you do not wont to plunge down use Ramping, or select ramp with Lead in/out. Good luck Alex.

Thanks guys Hardmill and Millman-crazy. I just fund out in MC9.1 SP2 there is a way to extend or shorten profile. I am ruining SP1. So for only way is to extend lines. But thanks any way. Alex

Hi I have the same question. What I was trying to do is extend profile by using similar way as Extend / Shorten profile and Add line in MC9 Lathe. But for Mill it is not working. For exempla I have Single line which I milling using Liad in Out with line and radius but starting outside of line. The only it works for me if I extend geometry. Any recommendation. Thanks Alex.

Hello. Keep in mind Left and Right will change direction of your tool compensation. If you doing climb milling it must be Left for profiles. Compensation in control Left will give you G41 in D in your program. If you using Fanuc control change “tool offset” 20 in Job setup and you will have T1M6 G1 G41 X__Y__D21 If with Fanuc control you use H1 and D1 your D offset will add length offset that when disaster strike. Hello everyone. After reinstalling mc9 cursor have a black color so it can not be seen on graphic screen. I changed graphic screen to white but absolutely hate. Is any seen can be done about changing cursor color Thanks Alex.

Make sure you have rigid taping option on your machine. I am doing the same as Iskander adding extra passes be hand editing. If you working with tough material use have taping oil. Tread milling much better because you have full control of process. When setting up tread milling on first pass back of offset and than snick on it. Good luck Alex

Use Contour tool pass. At bottom of page Contour type toggle to chamfer. Click on chamfer button and adjust size of chamfer need. For cutter comp use wear so you will have g41 in your program. After selecting chamfer mill right click on tool icon and make sure tip size the same us you have on your tool. Good luck. Alex

The more I working with MC9 the more question I have. How to mill open pocket with island. For it risen pocketing going right through island. I was able to trick system by extending walls and closing pocket. But it should be better way. If you or any body there how solve this problem let me know. By the way were in Israel you live.
