  1. Hi Lou, I see they got you tapping over there now. I'm having to tap a lot at the new job, but we have Haas mills here, so our post wouldn't be any help. Did you try editing the program and replacing G84 with G84.1? Mostly just wanted to say hi from the other side. Good luck with your project.
  2. Ahh, you don't bother asking the old master any more, how soon we forget! Get a TriStar
  3. We had a couple Anilam machines in our mold shop at one time, and had facet problems also, using Mastercam, CimLinc, and Pro/E for cutterpaths. Unless you can filter to arcs, you will have to use .0002 tolorance to get a decent parallel finish, which makes huge programs. We ended up putting hard cards (hard drive on a card that plugs into an open slot on the motherboard) in them and networking them to be able to hold a decent size program. Randy
  4. I forgot to mention I was using V8.0 still. Installed V8.1 and updated to 8.1.1, and all is well. [This message has been edited by RandyN (edited 05-04-2001).]
  5. I'm having a problem with using helix with a ball nose tool in surface, rough, pocket. If I use an endmill, helix works fine, if I switch to a ball and regen, I loose the helix. I have traded a file with a guy in the office, and if he creates the cutterpath it works, and when I read it in the helix is there, but if I regen, I loose the helix also. Any ideas what I have set wrong on my system? Randy
  6. Hi, just found this forum. Been using Mastercam since version 2, back in the dos days. I work for a prototype plastic injection molder in Clinton Twp. Michigan at this time, and have been there for 8+ years. We have 30+ seats there, so we are dedicated users.
