  5. Sorry just not getting this. To view this FTP site in Windows Explorer, click Page, and then click Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer. I'm trying to put a file in the FTP MC9_files folder to get some help. Craig
  6. how do I get a X4 file to open. some how the launcher is set and X files will not open directly in the program. I tried right click/ open with/ mastercam and launcher keeps coming up. I can open X4 and find the file I want and it opens. why go through all that work! thanks craig

  8. i thought i was going to start something here... i'll start up with this tomorrow. miller time! talked to our "mac" guy he said i have 2 hard drives in it. one from the old machine, this is where bootcamp and windows would go. on the right track?

Hello just got this thing yesterday. what do i need to run X4? did some search's - Mac OS install-nothing. the "evil machinist" said "It's beautiful." gave the IT guy the CD he said it cant open .exe files. point me in the right direction. I'll RUN.   10. why make 20 operations and nest them? nest the geometry. window select and done. one op should be a much smaller file. he is talking about flat panels here. if the part is complex with surfaces, drill holes, and other stuff i agree nest toolpaths.
  11. Hi richard 20 of one part you can toolpath it and nest toolpath. 20 different parts best case is to nest parts and add geometry-chain(s) to your operation. add new toolpath group for each sheet. post each group with a different NC name so you can find them on the machine.
  12. Just to confirm. V9 is my drug of choice. learning these new video games gets harder every year. cant quite get all the same keyboard commands to work in X like I use in 9 Thanks
  13. will any version of MC run on the new macs? This is gov so I dont think vista will be on them. we have 9.1 0105 used the most. X SP2 and X3 new machines are coming and i could get a laptop out of it also. Thanks Craig
  14. Steve buddy take a day off. Sunday at 10:30 nice stuff on your site. I'll be sure to pass it on to the other boys here. Guess I will cut one to see how the material bends. that will tell me what i need to do with the top. This is just a play project. Will post a pic when we get back to it. thanks for everyones help.
