how do I get a X4 file to open. some how the launcher is set and X files will not open directly in the program. I tried right click/ open with/ mastercam and launcher keeps coming up. I can open X4 and find the file I want and it opens. why go through all that work! thanks craig

why make 20 operations and nest them? nest the geometry. window select and done. one op should be a much smaller file. he is talking about flat panels here. if the part is complex with surfaces, drill holes, and other stuff i agree nest toolpaths.

Hi richard 20 of one part you can toolpath it and nest toolpath. 20 different parts best case is to nest parts and add geometry-chain(s) to your operation. add new toolpath group for each sheet. post each group with a different NC name so you can find them on the machine.

Just to confirm. V9 is my drug of choice. learning these new video games gets harder every year. cant quite get all the same keyboard commands to work in X like I use in 9 Thanks

will any version of MC run on the new macs? This is gov so I dont think vista will be on them. we have 9.1 0105 used the most. X SP2 and X3 new machines are coming and i could get a laptop out of it also. Thanks Craig

when i cut one out of paper it behaves like Oceans drawing. flater top. did you just "pick" a radius for the arc? Interesting how did you place them?

yes sort of. I was hoping for one piece. the top will be cut from 1/8" acrylic and bent. I dont think the center will be that flat.

Our designer had an idea. I said no problem. Now I cant figure it out. On the ftp /mc9 /ch surface test, is my file. I got 3 of the 5 surfaces I need. Can someone please tell me how? thanks craig
