  1. This is a real refreshing thread after all the Bull $%#@ media coverage and people protesting the departure of troops at our local bases. More support like the ones above should be displayed by the media. The families of our soldiers should not have to watch OVER and OVER the same lame @^% whining that is clearly a minority opinion in and around our country. I say support us or leave us, its that simple. Its how we got our freedom and how we need to keep it.

  2. i have the same problem with a 9mb file right now. One one computer ( windows millinium pent3. 1 gig, 128 mb ram standard junk video card-microsoft.) but the part will rotate quite nicely when shaded. Now the other box (windows xp 1.8 gig athlon processor 512mb ram prosavage ddr 32 mb video card) will barely rotate the part and if you get mad and click it around to much to soon it locks up on me. tool path verification is alot faster on second box but the display is terrrible. I have just over half the ram allocated on both. I did a search before and took all the advice i couldfind but still no fix. This lets me no its a setting of some kind and not a mc issue but the cause of the problem has me stumped. Sorry for the long post but any possible ideas you all have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Gary

  3. The government had good intentions on gving other countries tariff breaks ect. There thought is that it will help increase those countries wealth so that they may become consumers of products, like americans are. In turn they would then start to buy are products we produce. But instead, these countries are not speading the wealth to its people. They keep it between a select few who can control it's distibution. Thus, insuring there slave labor wages and keeping there prices lower than there competitors. rolleyes.gif

  4. Yes i agree with that on the first part or two check each one, after that (if running a seperate finish tool) you should be able to at least check the last part while the current one is running. A good machine will not creep out of tollerence that quickly.

  5. our reseller handles both mastercam and delcam. He will flat out tell you delcam is a higher-end package. But he also adds can your work justify the extra cost. Takes lots of processing time difference to make up the 60% cost difference.

  6. thanks for the replies. I just checked out the phase-omatic site. It was about 10,500 hear 4 yrs ago to get the three phase ran out of town here. At that time a local shop told me that the converters would not work for cnc's only manual machines. I guess its a good way to keep competition down he figured. smile.gif

  7. I have a chance to buy a small cnc mill (5 h.p) for a hobby machine but am wondering if it is possible to phase convert them. I see ebay has the converters pretty cheap for cnc's. Just wondering if something listed cnc would work or do i need specifics. Any help, imput would be great. thank-you all in advance.

  8. was trying to just window around text to seect it all and error states impossible arc center, start and end point cdc cannot compute path. i see the machine reads four places on the arcs and is there a way to specify a tolerence variation so the won't fault. machine ran 600 events before it out put the arcs. Rest of the letters were made with linear moves.any help would be great.
