  1. quote: Did you check in the settings page to see if there is an on/off setting? Yes, but unless I missed it, I didn't see anything for that. Mike
  2. Well, I tried it.... G200 Z10 T0200 same thing, didn't do it, ideas?
  3. Ok, will do. I'll let you know what happens tomorrow and thanks Mike
  4. I seen this code in the Haas code booklet and tried it out on the Haas. I put in MDI mode: G00 G200 Z-15. T0200: The machine turned to the tool, then rapided to the Z location. Did I do something wrong, because I thought this would turn to the tool station while rapiding. Mike
  5. Sim, sorry, like I said really busy. Will look now
  6. I have a simple Haas SL-40 Program that really needs cleaned up bad, I am not asking anyone to do it for free. But the program waste way to much time running, and sence I'm working way to much and not a professional programmer like most here I am asking for help with it. I just have the program, no prints or tools to show you, but you should see from the program whats going on. Anyone want to give it a look and take all of the wasted machine time out of it? If so we can talk about it and in detail what I'm looking for Mike
  7. We have a left and right spindle VTL kingsbury lathe, and I was wanting ideas how to do TNC on this machine. I can use a right handed cutting on one that turns the OD and the same tool on the other does ID work, will I have to use the same TYPE on both heads but differant TNC (G42, G41) on the other? Mike
  8. quote: And it would be a Marco program not a micro program. LOL, macro yes your right,I knew that, I must have had a brain fart Mike
  9. I was just wondering if their is a micro program that would let the machine know that if a operator loaded a part wrong, and I put air passes in to prevent a crash, if a micro program could tell on the 1st pass if it cleared and had no load on the spindle (part is in right) it could jump to the correct N# to start cutting the part? or something like that? Just wanted to know if can be done on a 16T fanuc control Mike
  10. Tim Looks great, and your right just changing the values looks good enough. Thanks again Mike
  11. I was wanting ideas if any of you have a program for boring jaws, say like useing a single pass g code, if so, I would like to take a look at it, or even a micro program to use no matter what size I need them to be , outside and inside. Mike
  12. I got my MCX for $15 american green backs.... But the darn thing doesn't save what I drafted nor put out the G-code.... I think I got ripped off
  13. Don, Looks great Thank you very much for your time. Mike
  14. I like takeing a broken carbide drill (main body) and sharpen it like a spade drill I run them at high rpm and only use air also, it HAs to have lots of air to blow shavings and keep it cool.
  15. Don, Not really, the one you made is to pointy The print shows more of a flat on top and bottom and I only need just 1 tooth so can can sweep it . it leaves the part with a rad at end of the spline If you know what I mean Let me try scanning it and sending it to your email address if that will work better for you. MIke
  16. quote: How are you going to cut your spline? I will forward your post to one of our mechanical guys and see if they can help you out. Well, I just want to draw it up, not doing any G-code for it, the company I work for does it on a machine, with a Hub (not sure of the spelling) But I just want to make the part into a solid and cut the spline with the sweep function on MC I have drawn up much of the part with the drafting version and MC and saved the file, and make it into a solid when I call it up in demo version, but I just can't do the drafting of the spline Mike
  17. Sence I have the demo version of mc9.1 I was wondering if I could get someone to draft the spline for me and post in on the ftp sight. I just need one tooth that goes into the shaft and can rotate it around the outside myself i just need the shape. Data : Number of teeth 27 Dia Pitch 8/16 presure angle 30 deg circular tooth thinkness at pitch dia max Eff. .1953 min actual .1918 Base Dia. 2.9228357 ref. measure over pins 2x.21600 - 3.6664/3.668 3.250 form dia max 3.209 min dia 3.375 pitch dia ref Now I don't know what all this means but its on the print. I tried to figure the spline out myself but It seems that the Machinist handbook didn't have all the formulas that I was looking for, Like how to figure the radius on the side of the spine for example. If I could have figured it out I wouldn't have bothered you all but I don't know everything If more info is needed, let me know Mike
  18. I have grown to like V9 as a student, it was EZ to get the hang of screen Icons, setup, and how to create the part. I download X Demo when one could download it from the net, I hate it, don't want to learn it, to much BS IMHO I have learned the drafting part of it, but still don't like all the BS I have to go though
  19. Oh, and also, they was vesting in our 401, 10% up untill you was here 2 years It didn't take affect. Now its 100% vested, just started Mike Go Colts
