I don't see this happening since the rotations are about different axes. Has anyone had occasion to try it?

PERFECT!! Thanks Rich. And thanks Scott, (even if you were late). As for the parasolid conversion...I was trying to convert the solid out of X. Here's what I would have done in 9. Create my solid, once completed, I would create a parasolid, which would strip out any of the geo used to create the solid. I would then read it in via the parasolid converter..make sense, or am I whacked?!!

I see what looks like a bunch of points that are obviously centers of arcs. I can't delete them and can't find a way to turn them off. I've looked in the config to no avail..

Create line vertical or horizontal..what happened to the option of entering x or y coordinate?..I'm finding I have to offset the line after I have created it.

I don't see the box with the checkmark on it. I found a similar box under the solids menu, solid find features, but that didn't work. I ended up creating surfaces from solids, and that worked fine. I would still like to know how to create edge curves from solid. I can create one edge, and edges on a face without a problem..How about this one..how do you do a parasolid conversion? I use that somewhat frequently and haven't been successfull so far. do you use import/export? I had a problem merging a file too. It said the file was corrupt when I tried to merge a solid. so many questions, so little time..

We are about to recieve a Daewoo DHM630 and I am need to modify the post for rigid tapping. I have tried and been unsuccesful. I have also searched the forum for what I need and can't find it. We have the same control and have had the same error. It's not the paramaters, it's the code. Can you post what the code looks like. Are you arcing in with a G3?

I would highly recommend training as well, I used Vericut for a few years..learning on my own cause I'm so smart Then I went to training and found out I was doing some things the hard way, and didn't know how to do other things that would have made life easy. Take the time now and do the training, the workload will always be there, if the company uses that excuse now, they'll use it later. When times are slow it'll be, we can't afford it. JUST DO IT!! They will see the bennies in the end. By the way, Always run G-code!! The technical support @ CGTech is the best I have ever dealt with. They stick with you until the problem is solved..

What's the protocol for converting files. Will V8 files readily convert to X? Is there a batch utility for converting multiple files? Should we begin the process of converting all V8 files to V9.1 so they will easily convert to X? We are not in the habit of having multiple versions of MC installed on our computers. What's the MC community doing when it comes to new versions? Thanks in advance

seem like a lot of work just for a screenshot. Screen>next menu>to clipbrd works great for me. I open paint shop pro, creat a negative image, then greyscale it, and save it as a jpeg, gif, bmp, whatever, piece of cake..

Is anyone using the ball lock system? If so, what distance between centers are optimum. Do you use the primary and secondary liners, or do you machine the holes to size in an effort to save cost? We currently have the 2 x 2 pattern of keenserts and bushings on most of our tombs. We bought some new tombs, and it was suggested by some of our machinists to look into the ball lock system to reduce set up time. It's clear the ball lock system is much more expensive. Any and all information would be welcomed. Pros and cons, whatever you've got. Thanks P.S. I don't know which message icon to use, is that a little wrench for tooling?

We received a complex surface model of a part and we need to make a thermal forming fixture. I need to extend the surfaces by 1/2 inch and then have a 10 deg draft from there.Is there a quick way to make this happen.

I thought I might give an update on the changes we made. We moved the hasp to my computer which is a P4 3.4 GHz 1G ram multi processor speed demon, and have had no problems. Our IT guru found a Nethasp monitor, (which I am told is not in any of the literature), that tells you how many licenses are checked out and to which PC. The theory was,(as I said before), that when MC crashed, the license manager would not release the license. I have already had one crash with no problems with licensing. HTH

I think the issue here is that when someone has an MC crash for whatever reason on any box, the license server does not release the license. We have the same problem with our SCS software. If someone exits improperly or there is a crash, it won't release the license until the server has been re-started... Isn't there more cost to having keys and licenses at each machine as opposed to the nethasp?
