  1. Could we get an update on the expected release date? I can't be the only one getting frustrated by dealing with or "working around" acknowledged bugs that are said to be fixed in this release.

  2. I have a few alt + (number) mapped to do certain things, and they don't always do what I have told them to - regardless of where my mouse icon is at. When the mouse is in the graphics area sometimes it will try to do a menu pulldown anyway, but not consistant enough to put my finger on what causes it. I guess my problem is the opposite of the thread topic, but I see a pattern.

  3. I have tried this update on two different PCs now with the same result. It starts to install and then pops up a window that says "ERROR 1620: This installation package could not be opened." I have tried it from Help- Update Mastercam, and also downloading from the link. I get the same result. Any ideas??

  4. I have seen it when changing from one file to another that the WCS name stays from the old one. The new file won't have one by that name, but in the bottom of the screen it still says whatever WCS I was working from in the previous file.

  5. From my experience if you get the feed, speed and other parameters close they will run smooth, without "banging the machine". We use them on 400 series SS, and they seem to like about a .050 depth of cut, .0325/tooth at 425 sfm. I've noticed that they like the cut to be as wide as possible - at least 60% of the cutter diameter. What grade of insert are you using?

  6. Open a V9 file. Fit to screen. Zoom in on something using F1 key. Take a look at your screen. Zoom in further with F1 key. Hit F2 - it goes back exactly to the previous view. Do the same in X. It will unzoom slightly by hitting the F2 key, not to the previos view. If you can't see or understand this I would have to question how much you have used either version.

  7. I just used this to change the diameter of a cutter that was already used in a 2d Contour toolpath, and it didn't update the tool in the ops manager, or cause the toolpath to go dirty. Are toolpaths not associated with their cutters? I know that edits to the speeds or feeds made in the tool manager don't override the info in the Contour dialog box from the ops manager, but a change in the diameter should.
