  1. There a many different ways to do this. By plane,by color,by level,by groups etc.Easy and simple, contuor by window, select start point, Let her rip! If the drawing is busy, move letters to a different level, blank out un needed geomerty.
  2. If I understand you right, you do not want a tool change at the start of the program, but do want one there after. If so I have "tweaked" the post for that.See Mastercam does not know that you have the correct tool in the spindle,(and how could it know).By using the misc values, you can now make the post decide whether or not to kick out a T code and MO6.Give me your E-Mail address and I will send it to you. Are you running a old Makino by Chance? If so,I have modified the toolchange Macro to take care of this problem at the machine.
  3. http://www.carboloy.com/products/new/Super...ler/default.htm
  4. When Machining a pocket with Island facing,If a solid is used and the islands have radius on the top edge,is there a way to pick the islands to establish depth and island boundaries?(Islands are at different z depths)
  5. When in the ISO View, use the blue boxes on the tool bars instead of the green boxes. It changes the Cplane and leaves the view alone
  6. Roll Tap! Makes a nice Threads and no chips. Also it makes stronger threads because it compresses the metal. I have had real good luck with this process.
  7. I also started when it was sold as Clear Cut What, 1981-82?
  8. Well I hope That who ever reads this Thread will back up their Parameters very soon.I consult with a lot of local companies and you would be amazed at how many of them do not have current copies. Be sure to hold in on the EOB button when you punch them out so you get all of them.
  9. Mike, you know most Fanuc's will only allow 3 compatible G codes per line,If you have more than three, is reads the last three and those are the current codes. Single block the program, and then goto the current block page(the one that shows the distance to go) and see what G codes are active. Try to make sure that when you pick up you TLO that you are in rapid(G0). When it comes to the F20 with no decimal, the control reverts back to the fixed format, meaning it reads from right to left.So that feedrate is really f.0020, this goes for coordinate words also. So X1 is really X.0001 Do a test in MDI and find out. Now this applies to Fanuc controls.
  10. Are you using Gage Length or distance from tool change *** to the top of the part (neg offsets or *** offsets) Reece
