hey guys got a quick q ive been moddifing some solid models on mc l8ly and can not figure out how to update my 2d layout when i modify the solid like i can on pro e and the likes couls some one please help thanks jimbo

hey guys i know this is very off topic of master cam but the company im now working forin QLD Australia runs hyper form and i know many of you guys run both i was wondering if you guys know of any self help tutorials. I have tried to get my boss to get some thing from dealer but no luck yet and the books that come with the soft ware are not the easiest to use compared to MC. thankx heaps sorry if im not suposed to post about other products

been a while since last post but here i go again with a dumb one. i have a solid with some deep pockets in it that will me getting machined on an integrex but really need to be able to do some solid lay out sectioned views for the boys and customer to get a good confirmation of whats happening can any one explain to me how i go about doing this. thanx all

Hi there all i have an extremely dumb q im sure some may laugh but ill never know unless i do so here i go. as i stated last week i just started a new job yesterday and where i have gone to does not have any tip tools only solid carbide (but **** loads of them its all they have). Now heres my delema at my old work we would have used a tip tool to machine steels so i have never used solid carbide on anything other then alli and i need to used it now on some K110 to make a press tool any one able to give me some insight as to what sort of feeds and speeds i can run a 16mm 4 fluted cutter at and do u do it with air or coolant? thanks for your help. hi all well im about to change jobs next week and where im going does not have master cam so as i have never ran an intergrex mazak b4 just wondering how much harder it will be then to programme with M/C they r 4 axis mill and 6 axis twin spidle lathe with live tooling do u think its something a normal person will pick up programming quickly or would you recomend pleed bargening to get the boss to purchase mc to keep life quick and simple for my self yhanks for your help

Pual i have organised some lessons with my dealer but was basically after a more practical job to do rather then an exercise out of a tutorial book. Sub contract here. Was employed there to do apprenticship for 4.5years then 1.5 years on a wage as tradesmen before going sub contractor. negotiated for paid public hollidays but no anual holidays flat rate per hour be it 8hrs a week or 80 hrs per week. but at least the head man is good to work for otherwise i wouldnot have been here for over 7 years

Hello all, Please dont take this the wrong way and if ive missed in the guide lines that im not allowed to ask or its allready been asked i appolgise in advance and please disregard this queastion. Im fairly new to the programing side of things using master cam but ultimately i would love to get a sole postion doing just that not running the machines on the floor as well. Whiich leads me to ask what sort of dollars (US) or (AUS) or (other$) would a programmer be on per year on an average i assume a **** load more then me and the others on the floor running the machines but just wanting to know where im heading in the hopefully not to distant futre. thanx and sorry again if i have offended any one by asking this.

to add to that another problem ive encounted is on a RH tapping cyle it will 99 percent of the time start spindle cw (G74) direction but occasionaly it will post ccw (G84). i have dicovered this sfternoon it may possibly be from a mirrored drawing and tool pathscould this be reversing the spindle even though i have i have selected the correct tapp and spindle orientation. has any one else ever encounted this. Ok here is my problem when sending back a program from the machine to my pc for storage and back up through master cam it is putting end of blocks in on every second line which creates a huge problem when sending program to machine next time round as im sure you all know if there and end of block and no data it will repeat previous line. i know i could just delete in the machine but lets face it doing this to a 5000 line programs a joke any help would be appreciated.

I think i might give that a go as well we had an expensive experiment sesion on saturday with the feeds and speed on 4140 and still ended up having to go slower then we would have liked just to get tool life.

I to would like to know how to do that i have tried simialra thing but not sucsessfully.
