I always note that I program Spots & chamfers to a true point...
As I cannot control which exact tool will be setup, I program to the point and the the setup people measure the flat, if there, and adjust as necessary

Right click duplicate....then edit the duplicate

They do fail, it's rare...

Wondering...Did the file start as an iges file?
If so, could you just request a different format and get a better starting file?

Assuming there is a peof section, try adding it in there...
This way it is only called at the very end of the program...

Don't get me wrong, there is a lot you can do within the CAD abilities of Mastercam but it is not by any stretch, a parametric modeler

CAD system
Right there is your misconception...

If you run Solidworks or Edrawings on any of those systems, this will be a battle you fight constantly.
The swdocumentmgr.dll file is used by both Solidworks and is named the same for the converters that they send out. As such, which one was last used would most likely be the last one registered on the system.
It would be nice if the external file the Dassault provided were named differently than what they actively use in Solidworks.

I'm not sure what way is being suggested to you but if you are trying to join lines....just select them / Wireframe / Trim/Break/Extend/Join Entities
Autocursor only becomes active if a function is able to use it

You can use Canned Text as well...set it to output before, in a standard post it will output before the tool change

Click on the arrow...surfaces should light up if they're not turned off on a different level

I have been told that file converters are provided by the individual CAD software companies to Mastercam and that SW's is pretty quick to get theirs out. Others I don't know but ultimately if the converter isn't provided in a timely manner, Mastercam can only open the files that they have been provided the files to do so...

Even though solid chaining has gotten much better, and it has, I still mostly use wireframe for the most part becasue of the control ability I have over the toolpath.

I've been doing this a long time....I am not aware of any consistant correlation between programming time and run time.
Like others have already mentioned, I have had short programming times run a long time and longer programming times runs fairly quickly.

I start the creation process in the in program tool manager, I'll save it out but then all of the file management stuff and creating assembles is done within the Tool Manager....
Sadly, if you're using stp files, the standalone doesn't get there by itself...

If this is coming from an older version, instead of rechaining, try making a new op and see if it works properly....
I have seen some odd things happen at times with OP's from an older file, when I have recreated the OP most work.

I would try deleting the config and trying it again..
Restarting and making a new fresh config file

If you're using curves to drive, you can set the vector depth to a minus

The only real rime savings I see with a pattern like that would be to complete half of the top half and mirror about the Yand then mirror the rest about the Y
