anyone ever use vx or Visicam? just wondering .i have visi at home [demo]only. there are some tool shops around here that use it. i used vx for a while also and liked it. m-cams been with me v-7 v-8 v-9 now v-10. and i always got the job done. just looking for youre imput.

we have a tool shop in town and they have had okks for a lomg time.they use them primaraly on large mold bases. there accurate and a good work horse.

haveing trouble acssesing the ftp. i went to tool advanced unchecked enable ftp folder veiw. cadcames ftp page comes up page can not be displayed.we have two seats in this area and the other seat works fine. what am i missing??? thanks im advance.

The difference is simple. A Tool maker has to be a compatant machinist in order to use a variety of equpitment to produce a Tool/fixture/die/part/etc. A Toolmaker can work as a Machinist. Machinists can't be and/or work as a Toolmaker, other wise they would be a Toolmaker. A general Machinist has the knowledge to produce any given part specific to the equiptment they are trained on. Machinists here push alot of buttons to make it look like they are working. Alot of CNC Operators consider themselves Machinists. This is Incorrect. -------------------------------------------------- A good toolmaker can do anything a Machinest can do. A good Machinest is just a good Machinest.

wow take that toolmaker guys. i think bolth are skilled areas. the sky is the limit, it all depends on the complexidy of the product and youre willingness to learn.i make mostly 3-d trodes and another guy runs my toolpaths .we work together.as should we. my reply as a toolmaker is i thought only circus people work in tenths!!!!

no answer yet thats o.k. the default is the same on our other seat. it says v7colors.dll i guess thats corect. i ran the old color surf c-hook and had some trouble thats why when i noticed this it seemed wrong.

could someone please answer this. in system config, start exit selection, add inns, default. what should be here. i ran an old c-hook and its stuck there? m-x is functioning o.k. but i noticed this and i thought i would ask. also is the new c-hook colrsurf.dll working o.k. i got the down load but did not use it yet. ----------------thank you in advance
