New here having strange issue with Lathe Groove tool

I've been trying to figure out why my groove tool is doing this. See attached image. Do I have to redraw the tool? I'm new to mastercam. It has weird lines extruding from it and the radius of the tool should be the only feature able to hit the stock.

No I can't post my file because work stuff. Any ideas of what is going on? I've ran plenty of lathe and mill parts but never had an issue like this. Maybe my tool holder is wrong? Everything appears to be good. This is the only tool that has been like this, IDK what's up.

Without seeing the file I can only say your tool is defined wrong.  When you chose that tool what changes did you make to it?

Did you draw the tool or choose it from the library?

Chose from library. It's just drawing the cutting end weird as hell.

 

I did not make any changes to the tool. Everyone on my end is kinda stumped. I'm probably going to end up drawing a custom tool.

take a snapshot of the groove parameters pages and post here. Don't need to see the part.

 

Lathe groove is strange beast till you get used to it.

We adjusted some settings...murked it worst so I'm guessing somethings just way off Thanks for the help guys!

Your A value cannot be bigger than 2x the B value for that type of insert. Adjust the A value, or choose a different style such as the double-end radius insert.

Alright dude,    on your fist screen shot look at your "A" value of .093,   that has to be smaller than your radius.   Change it to .018 and see how it looks.

Your screen shots show a full radius insert... with the rad set to .01

 

Is your tool actually a .02 wide full radius?

 

Or is it an insert that is 3/32" wide and has (2) 0.01" rads?
