Lathe Custom Drill Cycles

Hello everyone.

I'm looking to add some functionality to some of Mastercam’s drilling cycles.  My Drill/Peck - G83 and Tap - G84/G88/G384 cycles work perfectly, but I looking see what I could add/customize to my post that other have done to theirs.

Machine: DMG Mori NLX 2500 Lathe (C & Y Axis)

Please send me any customized drilling cycle code.

Check with CCCS if you're in the Spaceport Plant. They have David coming in there and he should be able to get it sorted out for you. If you are using the MT product it has to be done by them the end user cannot add drilling cycles to a .machine environment.

I work in Long Beach at the Virgin Orbit factory. That's is a good idea to reach out to our sister company.
Are you referring to David G. from Cad/Cam Consulting?
I'm not using the MT version and am not looking to add this myself, that's a job for In-House solutions.

Just looking to see want I could add to our post.

If it is an In-House post you're best to let them do it that way in the future if anything more is needed they their copy aligns with your copy. The post should come with Post maintenance so it would be covered under that. If not something like that shouldn't be that hard they are a great group.

What I'm looking for is G code of some customized drilling cycles that others have added their post.

What you can add is really up to your imagination...

I have added deep hole cycles, probing cycles, gundrilling cycles, broaching cycles...the limit is really the capability of the machine

Gotcha. I would reach out to the AE team at Mori they are great and should have some good examples. Problem is that is a specific machine and not sure how many exact machine like that there are for others to give you good examples.
