Increase Approach Height at the Beginning of the Program

So I'm currently working on some molds with some pretty deep pockets - tall setups, long tooling. At the start of the program, the spindle always approaches at the height of the tool changer, regardless of my clearance/retract/etc. It also always retracts back to that height between tool changes. How can I change this so that the spindle retracts higher between tool paths? My sketchy solution is to add a contour that acts as an entry/exit around where it would crash, but I'd like to figure out what setting I have to change to properly solve this issue.

Machine is a Haas UMC-750, if that helps.

You have run into a machine issue not a posting issue. The M6 macro has this movement defaulted as part of it's process to run the machine safely. I will normally do a point toolpath before and after an operation to control this. Refpoints in the operation with only Z might do what you need, but without a sample file I am throwing darts at a dart board in the dark blindfolded facing the wrong way.
