Lathe , solid chaining

when using solid chaining in lathe , the system becomes very, very slow , especially on bigger complex parts  , dialogs can take up to 2-3 minutes to open every time .

for me to see mastercam recalculates the spun profile every time a dialog is opened and modified , the right way to do it would be that mastercam only recalculetes the profile if solid is changed

if you instead uses wireframe spun profile one time , the dialogs opens instant and no problems

anybody got a solution for this problem ?

I would start by upgrading to windows 11, that graphics card is not great either, maybe turn shading off, make sure your temp folder and shared, my mastercam folders don't point to a network, that you have free space..

Graphics card up to date using Nvidia Quadro Experience

Solid chaining is a complex process that requires more processing power than just about any other process in Mastercam for wireframe creation. The more complex the more resources are used. Byte gave some good suggestion, but agree that Video card is an issue. I think it is sub par in my opinion for CAD/CAM work.

my mastercam and also Temp is on C drive ( ssd )  , but shared mastercam folder is on the NAS ( for easier access among other mastercam installations )

whether i have shading on or off doesnt matter , regarding slow when using Solid Chaining ,,, what do you think about mastercam recalculating spun profile everytime , no matter if the solid is changed or not
