How to remove extension and other text from part name label in toolpath nesting in Mastercam 2024?

Hello guys,
I frequently use toolpath nesting with 100 to 200 different references, and to easily identify each part reference, I use the "Use part name as label" function. However, this function also includes the extension (.mcam) and other text, as shown in the attached image.

In the image, you can see that I have manually edited the label to remove the extra text, so it only shows the part name like the blue label. I would like to ask if there is a parameter or another way to automatically achieve this result.

There is not currently a way to do this without third party software AFAIK,

my company provides solutions like this for a fee for customers,

Appreciate the clarification. While third-party solutions aren't ideal, I'll explore those options if necessary. Hoping for a future update within Mastercam to address this.

Need to post this in the Mastercam forum and send an email to qc at Mastercam to get some traction. Here is not a place to get that looked at by CNC Software.
